Peter is a human punching bag. He has no skills. None.

Peter never was considered anything special beside his power and chin,
but he surprised people when he couldn't finish chiny Wlad as well
when he went down 3x against McCline, hewever he outboxed famous
James Toney 2x and won the belt .... when he finally blew out his career against Klitchkos.
Say what you want but Peter is multidimensional, he may suck in general but he can also surprise.

As the money, the fight is going to be in Poland, all the money will be delivered by Adamek's
fans so I guess Adamek should have bigger income: 60-40 is rightful.
Offering 150K is just insulting, same like when Hopkins offered Adamek 500K
while there was 5mln on the table ... it takes two to the dance and Peter
is the best marketable option for Adamek at this time regardless of his recent record.

If he beats Peter then he has a good claim at being #3. His resume will be pretty solid compared to anyone who isn't a Klit.

And Toney beat who exactly at HW? John Ruiz in a fight where he was cheating on steroids? Toney got his ass kicked by Fres Oquendo for Christ's sake.

Anyway, if we're talking about splits, then how good someone is has very little to do with it. peter should be thanking his lucky stars he's getting a chance against Adamek in front of 15,000 fans instead of fighting in a high school gym outside of Dallas in front of 500 people like he did earlier in the year.

Toney has beat Holyfield, Ruiz, Rahman, Peter, Oquendo, Guinn, Booker.

He only lost second match to Peter, because he suffered injury during the training camp

He didn't beat Rahman. He got his ass beat for two rounds, came on in the third, and then Rahman quit after getting cut, but it was a NC and rightfully so.

He beat Ruiz, but cheated to do so.

Holyfield was, what, 43? And the commission suspended him his next fight?

Oquendo clearly beat him and was robbed.

Guinn sucks. He was fighting even with a journeyman on the Pavlik=Martinez undercard until his opponent quit.

Toney never did **** at HW. I liked old school Toney, but he hasn't had a particularly solid win since Jirov. And Peter never really did **** at HW either. He beat up on a few crappy fighters and knocked down Wlad a few times on rabbit punches. He's immensely overrated. He's not really much worse now than he ever was, the division is just stronger now than when he won a title. I'd be willing to bet he'd get his butt kicked by Arreola. Seriously, other than fat and shot Toney, what are his best wins? McCline, who knocked him down three times and got his ass kicked by Arreola shortly thereafter? Shot to hell Maskaev who was lucky enough to face Rahman in a title shot? Cruiserweight Jeremy Williams? Yanqui fricking Lopez? Peter sucks and he always has.

First round was even, two rounds after that Toney won. Toney hurt Rahman badly in the third who then decided to do one of the biggest quit jobs in the decade. It was rightly ruled TKO for Toney. NC change was stupid and both WBC WBO ignored the decision change and dropped Rahman in their ranking while lifting Toney.

Steroids were for injury rehab, they didn’t help him to outbox Ruiz

He was ranked fourth by ring magazine, at the time. Holy was lot better then, than the version of him who arguably beat Sugar Niko or the versio who fight Sultan.

Not really. dont understand where clearly beat him part comes. It was pretty close and hard to score because Oquendos ugly style but Toney won it, as Oquendo really did nothing else, then tap his jab to Toneys shoulder, while running away and clinched everytime they were close.

All the best shots in that match came from Toney

True he wasn’t anything special, but he was top 10 contender for some of the major sanctioning bodies rankings at that time.

He has had good HW run, considering he is a former middleweight.

Wins over injured Toney and WBC champ Maskaev was pretty good.

I wouldn’t bet either way but I think Sam has more power and more solid chin that would give him better change to KO Arreolla than vice versa.

He is not ATG but he has ok resume in my opinion. Peter was and is a dangerous contender who can give tough fights for almost anyone.
He also has big punch that can change the match in the instance

Also McCline who was beaten by Arreolla looked shell of a man who faced Peter.
