I'm actually neutral in this bout now. I wanted Khan to win the first, but his attitude is putting me off him big time. Peterson has shown how classy and humble is from the day the first bout was announced, whereas Khan...well hasn't.

I did begin to start liking Khan after his defeat to Prescott, because he put his head down and got on with work...trying to improve.

But he seems to have reverted back to familiar. :-(

no khan can only fight the same way, he says he has workd on a few new things in the pocket that will trouble peterson.i tell you after the 1st or 2
nd rd peterson will remind khan why he should stay out of the pocket with him.peterson is a madiana type of fighter, he took it to khan because that was his plan b. plan a was not going so well, khan on the other hand will try to use that jab and fire off right hands from the outside.then he throws that little flurry of straight 1 2 3 4 punches.i dont call those comboniation punches either but any way, that what khan will do and move alot more. peterson again will be the agresser but will get to kahn alot in the fight. petersons pressure + khans running all over the place ( not runninf away, but in and out away and every other direction). khan fights very hyper to me and will get burned out in the later rds. peterson by ud this time,

oh and if you think peterson fights one way, watch his fight with ortiz. you think he was going to walk down ortiz ? he tried and after 2rds was blasted only to go into survival mode but to go to plan b and use his legs to outbox to ortiz to a draw.thats a mutlidimesional fighter. what it ever it takes to beat the man in front of you.inclose make it fight or box from the outside, peterson can do what ever.khan will be khan and bet he fights the same after no more then 5rds.

Khan only chance is to hurt Peterson.ONE PUNCH!! Khan has to load up 1-2 bombs at a time. Not those pitty pat

combos, he be wasting. Go to the body.I believe that's what Roach will have him do.

I don't understand the OP, how can Peterson ONLY fight one way when we say he fought at least two ways when he fought Khan the first time?

I swear this forum boggles the mind, look if Khan does not make adjustments and fights as he did last time Peterson won't NEED to fight any other way.

Now assuming Khan finds a new way to box, then I'm pretty sure Peterson will find a solution to it, he is no fool and has been schooled very well.

What the OP meant to say is that Peterson can't box Khan at range because initially thats what he did last time unsuccessfully....if Khan tries to fight on the inside Peterson will have him pissing blood for weeks.

It's Khan that needs to find a solution not Peterson because the fact is the pressure will get to Khan and everyone knows when that gap is closed Khan cannot push this time. But lets be honest here all Khan is going to do is try to be faster, punch harder (sit down on his punches more) and nothing else.

Also it is a cop out to say Khan wasn't 100%, ofcourse he was (see all the pre fight videos/quotes) and he STILL got beat!

Khans attitude stinks and has lost alot of UK fans, not sure about over the pond? I think he takes this fight on decision myself, but will be cheering for Peterson

What bull**** point deductions? you nuthuggers need to read boxing rules.
Its 1 thing to push someone off you its another thing entirely to push someone completely across the ring.
Khan also got warned NUMEROUS times and he still pushed the same way like a complete ****** knowing he got docked a point for it before.

There is a reason why he pushed like that if he stops doing that it means Peterson will have more time to work on the inside.
Khan also has 1 of the most horrendous attitudes in boxing currently, i started warming to him again after the Maidana fight but now i just want to see him get knocked the **** out and **** off out of this sport.
People like him turn people away from the sport.

I am a Khan fan but am not deluded.

I agree with the above statement. I fear Khan won't be able to apapt his style in this short space of time.

I have a feeling that the way that the ref deals with the holding and pushing down form each fighter will determine to outcome.

    Its a 50\50 fight.

Bottom line is he probably scrapped a decision by 1 point max in the first fight without the point deduction so he could probably get away with a similar fight plan this time.

I think we should be thinking more of how Peterson is going to adapt for the first few rounds, he seemed a little surprised by Khans speed and power early doors (first 3 rounds) then adapted and slowly took a strong hold of the fight, if Peterson starts a little more cautiously then increases the pressure from round 4 onwards I can see him winning a close but deserved decision.

Its all about the early rounds with Khan, he has that blinding speed, possibly the quickest hands in the game but when fighters adjust to his speed he has no plan B, similar to the maidana fight, he blew Maidana away for 3 rounds then struggle more and more after each round. He doesn't have a boxing brain which is why he won't make the top of the sport, he has all the physical attributes but not the in ring IQ. This is what fighters like Hopkins, Calzaghe and Mayweather have achieved so much cos they can adapt, Khan can't and I doubt that will change. Hope im wrong tho

Peterson is a very good adaptive fighter and was massively underrated till he made Khan run away for 8 rounds.

Yes. That's something I forgot to mention. The ref, whoever he is, better be on his best game. He's gonna' be called upon a lot.

He didn't against someone as slow as Maidana, what makes you think he will against Peterson?

Judah quit against him, I think that victory got to everyone's head a bit too much.

    Yeah I agree.
What Khan needs to do in my opinion (I'll probably get slated for this) Is fight like Wlad.
Beat him up from the outside and as soon as he gets close clinch.
similar to like what Alexander did against Maidana.

Yup, I totally agree. Nothing wrong with suggesting that, because it's probably the most feasable strategy for him. Box nicely at range, and when Peterson closes in, resort to tying up, holding, smothering, etc, to limit his work. Or, don't even wait for him to close in. It'll be equally effective if Khan initiates a quick two/three punch combo, and then fall into a clinch/holding. Guys like Bradley, Hopkins, Mosley, etc, have had plenty of success doing that.

The problem I see, though, is that Khan doesn't appear to be as physically strong as those guys. Peterson is bigger and heavier, too.

And boxing and running is Khan's only way to win and Peterson's camp knows that.... what's the point?
