Peterson had this to say about giving Khan a rematch: I would definitely give him a rematch, Peterson said. Why not? He gave me a chance. http://www.taipeitimes.com/News/sport/archives/2011/12/12/2003520540
I agree with the above. The decision not so much, but I'm not big on kHAN. So props to Peterson, keep it up young man.
I've always had respect for Peterson, as a fighter and person, and last night showed why. Whether or not we agree on the decision, at least a good guy who gave his all, got the good end of a decision last night.
Not in the first round he wasn't . . . Nah, seems like a very classy and decent guy. Has his feet on the ground and talks a lot of sense about the sport too.
Never gave him a chance till I read an excellent post from a big Khan fan the other night warning to write Lamont off at your peril. He was oozing class last night, even in victory. And what about his corner???? Best motivation from a corner I've seen in a long time.Always something I enjoy.
Great role model for the sport. He showed so much more hunger last night than kahn and I believe thats due to his background, compared with kahns who has had too much smoke blown up his arse where he's allowed the fame to get to his head.
You know what? That's pretty damn cool, right there. After a grueling fight where one guy was dealing with a huge comedown, both fighters posing with fans? That's great to see. Good guys.
Ironic, that 2 of Khans losses have come to homeless guys. Khan needs to keeps his head down and be humble, whenever he got too arrogant he was humbled. If he can come back from a Prescott Ko in the first round, he can def come back from a split decision loss to Peterson
