Peterson is gonna mop the floor with Matthysse

I don't see it. He's been knocked down/troubled by light hitting guys and he doesn't have the enough power to command attention. Matthysse has chin and power, so I just don't see what Peterson can do to be honest.

 

I've been wathching Mathysse highlights lately. Guy has the entire package. Is not suseptible to pressure from what I've seen. I see Lamont going down in this fight. He was KD'd by Khan and Bradley

Another thing I notice about Mathysse that I don't see among other young fighters is how calm he stays while boxing. Along with Rigo a very fluid fighter. Doesn't give much away with his body. The only fight he had trouble with, from what I've seen had been a slick south paw like Judah who just had him throwing straight rights that he would turn away from all night long (one of which cought Judah on the right of the face and pushed him down). Great chin too, took zab jabs, uppercuts straights and didn't blink (literally)

Alexander was a blatant ****ing robbery. With Khan Peterson and P-M 3, and P-Bradley one of the most blatant but not the biggest in recent years

Another great thing about Mathysse is intention to throw punches with. Consistent and painful

Two cons about Mathysse: tends to only move his head on offense, when coming in and often looks down while doing it (READ UPCUT). Otherwise a pretty hittable target. Another thing I tend to notice is how he is pretty open, although not that suseptible to being hurt, from bodyshots. with a flat footed guy like Garcia who throws to the body and hard, that could have some devestating results.

 

Even the commentators and boxing experts have said that Matthysse beat Alexander and Judah, but they got a home town decision. He knocked Alexander down, beat his arse, so did Kotelnik. Judah did his famous "Funky Chicken" dance like the Tszyu fight. Khan knocked Peterson down two times in one round, but Peterson's personal referee cheated for him, calling an obvious knockdown a slip, video replay proved the ref a damned cheat. Then Peterson's referee took points away from Khan, etc., everyone knows that Khan beat Peterson. Peterson was juiced up. Why was it legal for Peterson to take roids? Peterson's home town boxing Commission should be ashamed of themselves. Peterson is probably counting on the referee and judges to help him out, but I think Matthysse will knock Peterson out. They want to cheat Matthysse again, so I hope Peterson's personal referee and judges will not be allowed to the fight. Matthysse was guaranteed a fight with the winner of the Garcia/Judah fight, but instead we have this one. It appears that someone is trying to protect Garcia. The only way Peterson can win this fight is by cheating once again, having his referee to protect him, not to mention the judges. However, I think Matthysse will somehow get by the cheating juiced up Peterson and knock him out. Will the referee pick Peterson up, revive and disq. Matthysse for knocking Peterson out, claiming that it's illegal for him to hit Peterson?! Would not surprise me at all. Matthysse will have to knock Peterson out to get a draw or split decision. Judges have already filled out their cards, so Matthysse is smart enough to know he will need to knock Peterson out to win, which he will do, but the ref will jump in between he and Peterson and try to protect Peterson? I would not be surprised. If this fight is fair and not crooked, Matthysse will knock Peterson out, steroids or not. The Khan/Peterson fight was a total disgrace for boxing. By the way, ANYONE KNOW WHO THE JUDGES AND REFEREE WILL BE? CAN MATTHYSSE GET A FAIR FIGHT? If Matthysse does, it's lights out for Peterson...............Matthysse is the betting favorite, the odds for betting are in favor of Matthysse. So, perhaps Matthysse will get a fair fight? I sure hope so. Boxing is getting more like WWE. Again, I pick Matthysse by knockout over the cheating steroid Peterson. Will Peterson be on steroids again?

 

This is a good fight... The kinda fight where I wont make a prediction! Just watch and enjoy.. Ohhh hell yeah!

Peterson is pretty strange fighter for me. He likes to fight like a brawler, but he doesnt have A+ power, chin and stamina, i think Lucas will KO him in later rounds.

 

I don't know why so many people thin Matthysse is going to win. They are more in love with his power than even he is. Peterson can box and fight inside, Mathysse is flat footed and will lose any type of fight with Peterson. Peterson has survived bigger punchers like Ortiz and came back to make the fight close.

 

Well, if you really have a heart, and love the sport of boxing, you will be rooting for Matthysse to win this fight.

Everyone knows that Peterson is a proven cheater, who has now been caught twice. It's beyond me how Peterson is not suspended. It is pretty obvious that something is being swept under the rug.

I tell you, if Peterson wins, there is something wrong with this world.

 

I got Matthysse by KO but then again Ortiz didn't KO him and Ortiz is a bigger puncher than Matthysse imo. This fight could go either way, it's a great fight. I slightly favor Matthysse. Either way winner of this fight vs Danny Garcia will be for true king at 140 honors.

 

I think its a 50/50 fight, if i had to pick a fighter it has to be Lamont, but would be better judged closer to the fight, if either fighter dominates the other, I most definitely underrated them

 

I keep reading that Mathysse is "overrated" (there might be some of his fans that go over the top when matchups get mentionned) yet most of the commentators here seem to favour Peterson so i guess Peterson is rated above Mathysse. :yep

 

But you have to remember Ortiz is mentally weak and gets hurt relatively easy Matthysse has never been hurt two different beasts
