There is hidden genius in this post.

It took more than one punch to know Peterson down, and the punches didn't even land cleanly.

Lucas was also very fortunate to score those early knockdowns, which Genaro pointed out as a possibility.

Matthysse didn't land a single right hand. He ****ed him up with left hooks, instead.

In the second knockdown, you can clearly see Peterson clip Matthysse with a left hook before dropping like a sack of potatoes.

    Take a bow, Genaro.

    I noticed that as well.

Determining the outcome isn't as valuable as laying out the possibilities for each man IMO.

Round two (I think), this is the shot that drove Peterson to the ropes, took away his jab by making him hesitant to throw it, and positioned him for the straight right to the body + left hook combo that was the beginning of the end.

nah i call bull**** on that theory. anyone can lay out 2 different scenarios like that. if someone really believes Fighter A will win, there's no point in going into the "then again theory" about Fighter B winning if he does x,y, and z". hindsight will always make vague double sided scenarios look better than just picking the guy and being dead wrong which Genero was, because Peterson didnt do much floor moping with anyone tonight
