GBP made a smart move signing PEDerson, as he has the IBF in his pocket.

They pacify Matthysse (who wants Garcia blood and belt) by feeding him a juiced up PEDerson, either way they get what they want. Matthysse fed with a nice belt or PEDerson destroys the 140lb monster and thus takes away Garcias rival at 140. Thus keeping the Haymon money machine running.

I called this **** happening as soon as Matthysse dusted Dallas and was calling out Garcia. GBP knew they had to give Matthysse at a shot at the WBC title, but as that fight couldn't be made... let's pacify Matthysse with another world title - IBF. Well, I just hope Matthysse busts Peterson up - should be a good fight, hopefully with Matthysse gunning for the KO, the brothers won't be able to rob him again..

Garcia is a level above Peterson, a green Swift already made easy work of Holt, so dont let Peterson performance the other night fool you, the difference in skill between the 2 definitely showed in their Khan matchups, when Khan beat Peterson up, had 2 knockdowns taken from him, 2 points off and still almost lost to him, contrary to Garcia who figured Khan out by round 2 and made easy work of him

Peterson-Garcia would be a competitive fight. I haven't even seen the Holt fight from the other night yet, so I'm not basing my thoughts off of that.

 

two good fights on same night? nah this won't happen.

 

I wouldn't say Garcia 'figured him out' so much as took a chance on throwing that wide, massive left hook and landed it. Khan wasn't looking out for it. Eventually someone's going to take advantage of those wide punches and make him pay, and I class Peterson as a very intelligent fighter.
