That's a **** point, Rob. Take a look at JMM's, Pacquaio's, Hopkin's... etc. It has no effect on their legacy.

Mate, the fact remains, Khan is a PPV fighter here in the UK. PPV fighters, regardless of who they are facing, are in the position to demand PPV slots. As long as there are people out there who are willing to pay to see them, you can't really expect them not to. Hatton, Haye, Naseem....they all did it. Khan's no different.

And Khan-Peterson, is actually a decent fight. This is my first choice followed by a Katsidis one.

No worries, Flea Man. The amount of people I've had to say that to, I was beginning to think I was the only one who held this opinion.

its not a **** point at all.

All there legacys are different. Part of Lewis legacy is that he has beat everyone he ever faced.

My choice would also be Katsidis.

Khan may be on PPV but that doesn't mean he is a Box Office fighter because his PPV sales have been poor.

Khan vs Prescott or Katsidis would do well. Does Khan vs Peterson do well on Box Office if Kotelnik, Prescott 1, Salita, Maidana didnt???

Also, I haven't called for the Peterson fight ONCE! I actually think Judah (way past his best, but fast and has decent pop and is confident for first four or five rounds, southpaw, new test, genuine 140lbee) McCloskey (genuine 140lber, awkward, makes sense because of Irish contingent that can easily get behind it) and Katsidis (2nd best 135lber in the World, skilled, dangerous, tough, and won't be at a size disparity) are the best choices.

JMM is not possible, but if anyone says Peterson I say 'why not Ortiz?' With the Berto fight not signed and Ortiz a) under Golden Boys banner b) not going anywhere fast, why he can't be risked? Would be competitive, he's in the latter half of the top ten, got the better of Peterson in most peoples eyes (whilst showing flaws in heart and will, we've seen that before) and is more marketable than Lamont.

Unless they still have a lot of faith in Victor to make the fight bigger down the line or he's having bad weight issues, or, most importantly, him already commanding a big sum (due to Oscar and his lackies treating him like a star before he ever was one!), I would consider him a perfect 'keep busy' fight. As southpaws go, I'd certainly rank him over McCloskey as a viable opponent.

Yeah, and what makes that part of his legacy is that they were relevant at the time.

was it mcCloskeys team that mentioned that amirs ppvs in the uk were nowhere near 200,000

ive always thought that it was weird that other ppv fights in the uk give their ppv numbers but khan doesnt...and thats going back to the warren days.

i heard that the khan-brarrera did less than 50,000 ppv buys

I also would have liked Judah but I think he would want to much money for Team Khan to consider him. Which is again why I question there reluctance to fight Prescott who is cheap but sells PPV's.

In terms of Ortiz, I think its a fight HBO would pay allot of money for so they will save it for a US fight.

You need to compare apples with apples.

Lennox was a major world-player and a recognized world-champion when he lost to those two guys. And those two guys, Rahman and McCall, would remain as notable operators in the division; thus making Lennox’s decision of fighting them again much easier.

Khan, on the other hand, was a much-hyped prospect on a learning curve. He lost to a fighter who would go onto lose 2 of his next 3 fights, and do nothing worth of note since. Khan himself goes onto improve immensely, grab a world title, and put himself on the pursuit of unifying a red-hot division – a division which hasn’t got Prescott within a gazillion miles of it!

So if it comes to a point where Khan goes on to do bigger and better things without fighting Prescott, you can bet your house that his legacy won’t be affected. Just like it didn’t affect Pacquiao, Wladimir, JMM and Hopkins when they also lost to lesser fighters who went on to do nothing.

Yeah, Ortiz seems to think he's a really big star, when he's really an undercard fighter up to press.

yes they do mate...hatton did it and haye has done it aswell

hatton did 1.2m ppv buys for the mayweather fight and just under 1m for pacman fight

haye did over 700k ppv buys for the valuev fight , up to 500k for the harrison fight and again up to 500k for the ruiz fight

khans ppv figures are that bad that warren and now team khan dont want them released
