As an American, I was very disappointed that PEDerson wasn't stripped. It reflects poorly on the sport when an admitted juicer gets a hometown decision and then is allowed to hold a title belt hostage in DC indefinitely.
Must say I chuckled when the OP used the judges at the London Olympics to show how well British fighters would succeed without American bias & hometown judges. patsch
you think ward wouldnt earn more fighting froch in england than he would fighting in front of 7000 fans in Joakland?
You do know that in Los Angeles in 1984 American boxers were awarded 34 out of 35 decisions? The only time an American lost a decision that Olympics was Virgil Hill in the final.
I don't understand how the win over Khan still stands, it makes no sense. If an athlete or a cyclist test positive for synthetic testosterone they're DQ'ed in the event they test positive in & serve a 2 year ban. Boxing & in particular the IBF have embarrassed themselves in not punishing Peterson properly.
I'm American and asked the same thing OP. Boxing is a ****ed up dirty dirty ass sports. How are these guys allowed to box again without the judgement behind these decisions being made transparent?
Glass jaw - bull****. Lamont couldn't knock Kha down not once. Ortiz has more glass in his jaw than a greenhouse. Khan ktfo'd that hype job way back in the amateurs. 'Khan's glass jaw' my ass. Just shows suckers like you lot stick to your selective memory like a sore loser. Go wash ya damn ass or sumthin useful.
is that an elaborate way of saying they won 34 of 35? Evander Holyfield was Dq'd though. Shameful homer treatment.
Just for the record, Peterson never admited to cheating and he was cleared of that acusation. Now you are free to believe what you wanna, that's your business but so is everyone else free to form thier own opinion based on how they view the information. If you really want an answer to that question, why don't you pose it to the appropiate organization. Khan did and was told in so many words, to get the **** on down the road so there you are. You got a choice.:bbb
Some of the US fans here are a disgrace. If it was Pacquiao caught roiding this board would go into meltdown. I've said here before PEDs should be legal as long as fighters disclose exactly what they're using, if only to make it fair to the guys not currently juicing, but the hyprocrisy from some of the posters here is ****ish.
Pacquiao is the most hated fighter here without question. If Manny had hired Heredia or Conte and then blasted Marquez, EVERYONE would be crying foul. If anyone gets caught roiding, regardless of what nationality they are, that's a problem, and fighters should be disciplined for it. The fact Peterson got to keep his belt is an utter disgrace. If Manny had failed a drugs test a few years ago and the WBO didn't strip him, people would have gone ballistic.
