Khan wants a rematch and Peterson says he wants to knock him out.

“I want to clear everything up,” Peterson said. “Even though I think I won a clear victory, I really think I can knock Amir out. As a promoter, you want to put these type of excuses in a fighter’s head, like he didn’t really lose, like he was robbed by the referee and the judges. But Amir has to face reality and accept that he lost.

“I don’t want any more dispute about it and the best way to do that is to win by knockout and I think I can do it. In the new year, we will sit down and talk, but I want my next fight to be against Amir. Vegas is good. I’d be happy to go there and that’s something we’ll be talking about.”

Nice. I hope Peterson does knock him out and the controversy goes away. If it's in Vegas, I might make a road trip.

If Khan doesnt tidy up his game and work on his timing, he may very well get KTFO.

Khan can outbox Peterson if he sticks to using the jab and moving then walking him on to right hands and hooks. however he seems to lack ring IQ and its costing him dearly. He needs to scrub some speed off, plant his feet and time his punches. He's so quick he doesnt need to flurry and lunge. I will be really amazed if they are not aware of his limitations and get to work in the gym, cos if he does not I can see the same outcome.

If he loses, he can forget about Mayweather. Even Bradley for that matter! Dangerous times for King Khan.

I hope it happens immediately.....unfortunately, the business of boxing tells me it won't happen right away.

Peterson's said this for a while. It's clear he wants Khan, but his team will go for the choice that makes the most sense.

You'd think this would be it. Let's hope so.

    Agreed.

However, I could see LP making a few money making defenses first.

There are some interesting questions that need to be addressed. Would this fight sell tickets in Vegas or A.C.? How big of a ring will Khan's people want? What will the split be now that Peterson is the champ?

These negotiations have a lot of variables.

A fighter stating he wants to knock another out does not mean this fight will be on at all. I'd say the likelihood of an immediate rematch are slim unless the IBF decides to force one. Peterson is just tired of hearing the whining from Khan about robbery this and bad ref that. So sure he'd like to pop him in the mouth, but that doesn't mean he will anytime soon in a boxing ring. Arum has some plans you can be sure. Arum still finds a way to get over on GBP just about every single time.

I'd be quite surprised if this bout happens. If I'm Peterson's handlers, I'd take a big money fight against Bradley or Pacquiao if I can get it. The Khan rematch will still be there after.

I'd only rematch Khan immediately if the payday is somewhere closer to 1.75 million.

if he doesn't give khan an immediate rematch the only guys out there for khan to fight is either bradley or Prescott.

Yeah I'm excited about this fight. I hope they get the deal done shortly after new years so this fight can be on the calender.

They should each take 50/50. Peterson cause he won the first fight, and Khan because he has a bigger following and will lead to more interest/money in the fight. Hope no negotiating BS takes place.

    Should be a good rematch!

Let's hope so, but this time there won't be no home town judges or his uncle ref'ing the fight no no, this time he has to beat Khan on his own.

    Let's make it happen.
