    ABOUT TIME!

But even with that, Peterson must win this fight to keep his IBF strap.

"He loses the fight, the title will be vacated," Daryl Peoples, president of the IBF told ***********.com on Tuesday afternoon.

People explained that Peterson was due for a mandatory defense and had requested an exemption. The three options he gave were two ranked IBF contenders and a unification bout (which wouldn't need an exemption). Peterson was paired with Garcia but once that fight was made above the 140-pound limit, it ceased to become a unification bout.

If Peterson loses, then the IBF's two leading available contenders would vie for the vacant title within 90 days of April 11th. Right now, the number one and number two contenders are Cesar Cuenca and IK Yang.

Should have been stripped when Mathysse sparked him out. Or when he failed a drug test, IBF is probably the worst organisation out there.

Matthysse knocked Peterson out in the 3rd round and is the real IBF champion. Peterson also tested positive for roids after the Khan fight in which Khan was cheated by Peterson's personal referee, judges, boxing commission, etc.

The really odd thing about it is, that the 2 fighters who will fight for the belt if he loses are Cesar Cuena and Ik Yang!!

I had to look up who Ik Yang is!

    Ohhhh, sanctioning bodies!

And Cuenca could become the first ever world champ with a less than 5% KO ratio!
