Petition: To Ban Benny Ricardo From Boxing

Honestly, people like him absolutely ruin fights. You can have an excellent fight but with a **** commentator it just ruins it for you. Same with the Sky crew for a lot of US fights.

 

I remember he did the commentary for Morales-Limond.

ended up switching it off when he kept calling Willie - LIEmond!!

a bit like Buncey and his pronunciation of Alvarez.

 

Would love them just to get HBO or Showtime coverage. HBO can talk crap about a fighter but Benny and Bob are sending me nuts

 

I just can't listen to him screaming constantly, even at a slight glancing shot it sounds like he's going to rupture a blood vessel in his head.

Exactly, That's what was doing my head in with Fischer last night, two absolute wars going on in Cruz/Morel and Maidana/Karass and he was yapping away about irrelevant shite as if he was talking to a mate at a sparring session.

That bloke who boxnation had cover the Geale/Sturm fight is the best commentator ive ever heard, we need him to do all the fights

 

I remember watching Limond vs Morales and early in the fight willie was winning easily, I think it was round 2 where willie landed every punch and morales never even threw, bob sheridan goes "I gave that round to the scot, what about you Benny?" "actually I gave it to Morales" I was like WHAT THE ****?!

I didn't have the pleasure of watching with Benny last night. Did make up any new ring names for the guys? I love how he calls Mayweather the Black Widow

 

he made up that nickname after a few rounds of the fight and then called mayweather by that name for the whole fight
