Oh no, this is going to be worse than I imagined. I expected at least one of them launch a few explosive flurries that somewhat landed. They are both typically in terribly boring fights, but I hoped their styles would mesh.
As a Santos fan, this was a painful watch. Dude is shot to bits. Yoel 2-1, clear winner. Not a great fight, but both men have been in much worse ones.
Romero clearly the better fighter still, but his coasting low output style might have cost him the fight.
So the first two judges gave Romero both of the close/split rounds. As soon as 30-27 x2 was announced I knew Yoel won because there's no possible way you can score the 3rd for Santos.
