This probably would have broken some kind of punchstat record for sure...Actually really havent seen a lot of Holiday outside of the Mosley, Fenech and Robinson fights.

He probably impressed a bit more then Hoo-lio.

I was suprised by Holiday's workrate myself. A good example of a guy without a lot of natural gifts who trained extremely hard

I suggested this fight on the 'Hypothetical Match-Up' thread but as I couldn't provide an answer to the previous mooted matchup it wasn't answered.

Two feather fisted guys, in-fighters with immeasurable workrates.

I go for the faster guy; Juan Diaz.

Well Ivan Robinson had faster hands than Holiday too, but Ivan still got beat. I see Diaz as being more talented than Holiday, but I think Philip had the greater will to win.

Indeed, and to be fair Robinson also had a massive workrate in that fight too, and with showier, snappier punches than Juan Diaz.

    You have actually convinced me:good

Thanks. It also took a great fighter like Mosley to hand Holiday his 1st loss... while Juan got done in my a 2nd rate guy like Campbell.

Campell is a very good fighter, wiley, and let's not forget Juan had a lot of problems in the build-up to that fight. No shame in losing to Nate Campbell.

I dont buy the excuses. I just think Diaz got beat up by a guy who could give Juan a taste of his own body punching medicine, and who didnt wear down.

Yes. A first rate guy IMO is a guy like Marquez, Pac, Floyd, Cotto, Mosley.

Campbell is a B fighter. Not an A. Thats what I meant.
