The question you ask has been answered by many on here. It is scary when you see the answer. So little experience yet claiming so much knowledge.

That wasn't a schooling or a dominant performance from EITHER man. It was a close competitive fight that had an unpopular outcome. I'm interested in hearing your definition of schooling and that relates to the events last Saturday... I felt PAC lost but that's my opinion. Knowing how close the fight was I wasn't surprised to see a DRAW or those who SLIGHTLY favored PAC.

    You know what?

I think alot of people on this board mistake what the definition of a schooling is......

There is a clear differnce between a schooling and a beatdown......
What Pacquiao did to DLH, Cotto, Margarito, those go beyond schooling and become physical beatdowns.
"Beatdown" is the right word to describe such of those fights.

A schooling is what Marquez did to Pacquiao this past Saturday night.
Its Marquez being able to boxistically control Pacquiao and force Pacquiao to have to fight on Marquez' terms inside that ring.

Its Marquez beating Pacquiao in most if not all categories.......clean punching, defense, pace, tempo, spacing........just being the ring general of that ring.

The ring general gets into a groove and likes the pace, tempo and happenings.
Pacquiao clearly was nowhere near being the ring general as HBO's Harold Lederman ridiculously claimed he was. A ring general does'nt show the frustrations of not being able to do and dictate his terms in the ring like Pacquiao clearly was showing vs Marquez.

Dont confuse the difference between a physical beatdown and a boxistical schooling.
Marquez did not beatdown Pacquiao, he schooled him!

Mayweather put on a clinic on how a prime fighter goes about disecting and diffusing an older one who has every physical disadvantage.

......Marquez-Pacquiao was a case of an old better skilled fighter putting on a clinic against a prime fighter at near the top of his game.

Schooling is a one sided TECHNICAL display where one guy completely shuts down the other. That's not what happened Saturday (although JMM seemed to be the better study during his camp than PAC). There was "ebb and flow"...there was spots where PAC got the better of Juan but from my perspective Juan controled the key aspects of the fight that had me scoring the fight in his favor.

The main thing was he controled real estate... he kept PAC at a distance where PAC had a hard time closing distance to land a lot of his shots with full force. PAC controlled the pace of the fight but Juan was able to slow it down when he needed it most.

A schooling is what we saw when Floyd met Juan in his first attempt at 147. Or when PAC first attempted 147 with DLH.
