Phillip N'Dou: how good was he, or how good could he have been?

I just watched the Mayweather-N'Dou fight again as it is one of my favourite ever fights. That is mostly because of the amazing defensive performance by Mayweather, but N'Dou's courage, resilience, heart, and willingness to attack contribute hugely to what an amazing fight it is.

I know N'Dou's career was cut short by injury and I also know he had a very very high KO percentage, but other than that I know very little about him.

Has anyone seen any more of his fights or know a lot about the guy? Are there any South African boxing fans on here?

    Not really sure.

I know The Ring had regarded him pretty highly, and he finished high on their "best of each division" when they rate fighters in each category in this issue (http://static.boxrec.com/wiki/8/83/2004Jan.jpg), but I didn't see his fights other than getting beat down by Mayweather.

He'd never have achieved any more than he did. Tough guy, good power, very limited skills, and the ones he did have were pretty poor by elite standards.

Who was it that said they saw him driving down the street in a car that had "Money 'More" written on the side?

For what its worth he was putting away a few fringe contenders away faster than Mayweather, Freitas, Casamayor, Barrios
