    Having boxed in Philly many years, I can tell you that while it has a lot of styles...

    ...most of those mother****ers just throw down. You go to a gym there, and their sparring sessions are as good as boxing matches.

    yeah and you look at their competition level, philly has lots of guys wanting to box and are willing to throw down. if you look at a place like canada, not too many people box here so its hard to find good competition. ive been boxing in canada for the last year and ive only had 3 fights because its hard to find competition for me

    When I think of boxing in Philly, I think of Smokin' Joe. That's something to be proud of and like others said, they sould have his statue there instead of Balboa... Even tough I'll probably run up these stairs and take a pic with that statue if I have the chance haha.
