Gene Tunney went undefeated for 6 years and 2 months and during that time he collected the scalps of Harry Greb x 4, Jack Dempsey x 2, Jack Delaney x 2, George Carpentier, Tommy Gibbons, Prince Naseem Hamed, and drew against Tommy Loughran.

    Durán from 17 November 1972 to 25 November 1980.

Took the 0 from SRL after moving up 2 weight classes.

Doesn’t compare to the length of some other guys on your list IB but it was one of the most dominant streaks in history.

    Lmao.

Tinman... youre a decent poster man but, you cant be serious here

Please tell me youre trying to wind me up.

Besides being at least a full inch shorter, and about 4 inches shorter reach, there is no way in hell Hoya could make 140 when he was 29 years old.

A 29 year old Hoya was without question a larger man than Taylor.

Saying their the same size is objectively ridiculous lol.

Not saying it to wind you up. He rehydrated to less than what Taylor did. He rehydrated to 153 against Mosley.

What about Moruti Mthalane? Been over 11 years since he lost to Donaire, and most of his fights since have been title bouts if you count IBO.

    Miguel Canto.

He had a close decision loss to ATG Betulio Gonzalez in 1973, before going back to winning ways and eventually winning the title from top fighter Shoji Oguma and commencing his ATG title run, maybe the best ever at Flyweight, including two wins over his former conqueror Gonzalez, and several past and future champions, which continued until 1979, when true all time talent Chan Hee Park wrested it from his hands with his frenetic Korean style.

Almost 6 years. And what top class years they were for the Flyweight division!

After an early career loss in 1981, the monster known as Khaosai Galaxy emerged in the Super Flyweight division, and stayed undefeated until the end of his career, brutalising all contenders to his title.

    10 years.

Someone might have already mentioned him, but I think Willie Pep had a long unbeaten streak after first defeat? More recently - Winky Wright 1999 - 2007 comes to mind.

I looked at Willie, his two stretched of roughly 60 fights each were only over a couple of years.

    Different times, eh?

Obviously not on the same level as the aforementioned fighters but more recently, Tevin Farmer's 7/8 years and 23 wins after a record of 7-3-1 to IBF world title holder is a very solid accomplishment.

Mark Johnson - 11 years between his loss as a neo-pro in a 4 rounder to Richie Wenton, to his first loss against Rafa Marquez.
