It was only over three and a half years, but Henry Armstrong strung together 46 straight wins, and bagged the feather, welter, and lightweight titles.

    Sarron
    Ambers
    Ross
    Chalky Wright
    Arizmendi
    Cerefino Garcia
    Benny Bass
    Mike Belloise
    Frankie Klick

So nine former or future champions during that run, to my knowledge. Plus, a host of mainstays in the rankings during that time.

Ross is a certified ATG too, could be top 10 imo. Amber's is also an ATG, but not to the level Ross is, he'd have to settle for a top 10 LW placement.

Henry also beat a past prime Midget Wolgast, who's one of the greatest flyweights ever.

Top 10 flyweight for sure. I'd listen to arguments for a Top 5 ranking, too. Scary resume Armstrong has, that's for sure.

Dulio Loi- Went almost 8 years without a loss. 67--0-5 during that run; mostly against European opposition but with some contenders like Zulueta thrown into the mix. Avenged his loss during that time. Would go on to win the Jr. Welterweight championship twice.

Horacio Accavallo- Another run that extended for almost 8 years. 53-0-4. Won a version of the world flyweight title, defended against fine opposition and avenged his first loss.

And once he moved up, he stayed at 154 until he faced Manny.
Oscar started his pro career just above 130. He then got a title and immediately moved up to 135. He was only 21 at the time.
By the age of 24, he was already at welterweight.

Most guys grow into their bodies. Especially now with the day before weigh-ins. Rare to see someone stick to one weight class their entire career these days.

Harry Greb - may have only been a bit over two years but he went something like 79 fights without a loss and there was some quality and size circumstance in there. After that loss to break the streak he then went about 56 fights undefeated with loads of quality wins including giving up 12 plus pounds to Tunney over almost 3 years.

Sure there were some draws but it's ridiculous really.

My erratic mind just conjured Too Sharp whilst watching Vásquez, who beat Márquez, who ended Johnson's eleven year run.
