A Phoenix boxing gym wrecked by a powerful storm is seeking donations in order to keep operating. Here's a message from Face II Face Events President Michelle Rosado: The gym is steered towards keeping at-risk youth off the streets while creating a safe place and a positive atmosphere for them to pursue their boxing dreams. Theyve had much success in transforming at-risk youth in the neighborhood into outstanding amateur fighters as well as disciplined young adults and children. Most of these kids grow up in the tough Southside neighborhood where theyre not sure if theyre going to be successful, where they are influenced by gangs, drugs, and, street violence; however, KO Boxing Gym instills that success can be obtained through boxing, hard-work, and discipline. Over 25 aspiring boxers work out at the gym each week, where they are trained in Olympic style amateur boxing. Individuals learn to develop a strong work ethic, self-control, discipline, physical conditioning, and a positive way for dealing with the stresses of day to day challenges. KO Boxing Gym helps youth develop a send of self-worth and keep them away from a life of drugs, crime and violence. Any contribution made to KO Boxing Gym will assist in rebuilding the gym and keeping our youth off the streets. http://facetofaceevents.net/wp/media/help-needed/
