Phoobadin Yoohanngoh vs. Suriya Tatakhun 10 rounds @ Super Lightweight

 

I know Tatakhun went the distance with Loma in 2014 and also Berchelt needed 12 minutes to take him out but tonight he's facing a total killer machine in my opinion AND he's moving up in weight. Don't know if he ever fought at 140 before. I expect him to get beaten up pretty badly.

 

Round 1: 10-9 Yoohanngoh

Yoohanngoh working the jab early, Tatakhun coming forward and eating a massive left hook, another big left hook/uppercut hybrid punch by Yoohanngoh and you can already see Tatakhun looking a bit uncomfortable, touching his nose all the time. Yoohanngoh almost only throwing jabs so far, he looks huge compared to the small Tatakhun but he's quite patient, not overextending or overcommitting to any of these punches. Pretty dominant opening round.

Yoohanngoh raising the pressure, he rocks Tatakhun with the first combo he threw. He's starting to put together some combos, clearly going for it now, committing to the punches a lot more than in R1. Tatakhun is totally outmatched here strength- and power-wise. Yoohanngoh has him at the ropes late but can not capitalize before the bell ends the round.

Considering this kid is 17 years old he looks impressive. Calm, relaxed, good and active jab, the speed is there too. He looks a tat flat footed to me, but man at this age you can not complain. He's also hesitant and patient, not getting hit clean with a lot. He's a prospect!

 

Yeah i remember that but he broke his hand in the sixth or seventh round i think so he still went a solid amount of rounds with him?! I didn't rewatch it though.

Every time Tatakhun throws he gets punished but he's landing some shots in close range for the first time in this fight. Yoohanngoh back to jabbing and some combos occassionally. Total control.

Yoohanngoh has impressive head movement for his age. He's boxing well off the backfoot and landing a couple of huge shots, one of them buckled Tatakhun who stumbled backwards. Yoohanngoh landing cleaner and bigger shots. He rocked him late again. Tatakhun has an impressive chin! Took some bombs this round.

Low blow by Yoohanngoh but Tatakhun gives a ****. This guy is just hardcore tough lol. Body shot hurt Tatakhun, he's in trouble, Yoohanngoh landing big shots to the head and Tatakhun just covers the body, that was a very good shot selection by Yoohanngoh. He looks really good in my opinion.
