All the guys you have mentioned so far would be tossed around like rag dolls by Dr. Ironfist Tyson is far from being the strongest HW, he couldnt even manhandle Holyfield.
If we are talking about guys in lighter divisions Edwin Valero and hopefully his younger brother Sugar Shane Mosely is very strong Pac is strong Oscar Dela hoya as a super feather and lightweight was real strong Hands of stone Duran seemed strong Kostya Tszyu I thought Kelly Pavlic would crush everyone and be an all time great Lateef kayodee, BJ Flores, Danny green at super middle, light heavy Maybe some big guys like Danny williams, Kevin mcbride, Michael Grant, Julius Long. These real big guys 'should' be able to push everyone around. Real tall heavy guys in 5-10 years David Price and Deontay Wilder once they gain another 60 pounds of muslce and fat and age and strengh? OK now Im really reaching
Wladimir probably has the best wrestling skills in the HW division. He is very good at pushing his opponents around.
Vitali, i have yet to see anyone being able to outmuscle him in the ring and that includes Lewis. As long as were talking pure raw strength, not punching power etc.
Punching power I'd say Abraham. If we are talking about P4P physical strength maybe Edison Miranda or Manny Pacquiao. Muscle size isn't the same as muscle strength. Strength is how much force you can generate and this has to do with the ability of the muscles to contract. Tight compact muscles, body types with short arms, this usually produces strength but it doesn't necessarily translate into a boxing ring. Boxers who have a lot of strength would be guys like Pacquiao or Miranda because for their weight they have almost super human type strength and they aren't necessarily designed to be big punchers either and knock guys out on pure athleticism. In terms of who would win in a weight lifting contest that would have to be guys like Shannon Briggs, David Tua, etc. They have both huge legs but also tight muscles. I would say Lamon Brewster is naturally strong as well.
I don't think Vitali is stronger than David Tua or Lamon Brewster, and I did see him get outmuscled by Corrie Sanders.
Agrred. Were talking about a former All American Linebacker at MSU. I met him at the Peterson fight (some of you saw the pics I posted) .... He is huge, about 250, probaly less than 10% bodyfat I would also throw Mosley in here as well, I read he regularly squats over 500lbs at 150lbs of bodyweight! As a trainer, I will be the first to say, squatting 2 X over your bodyweight is impressive strength, but over 3x is average powerlifter strength!
500lbs squat isn't a big deal. I used to do more than that. I think it's very realistic that Mosley was doing 500lb squats and 300lb benches as a lightweight. The 300lb bench press is more impressive than the squats.
