The way Jeffries trained and diet, I don't think you can take Johnson into account.

I'd have to say Foreman and Hoffman, after the obvious, SNV.

Jeffries dropped down from 300 pounds or something and was still physically strong, to do that too any man would be quite hard but to Jeffries who was known for his strength, no suggestions from you?..

Johnson manhandled Jeffries backwards to his corner looked down at Jim Corbett, and said "where do you want him?" Joe Louis was very strong, he lifted Carnera up and moved him around.

Sometimes people confuse intelligent maneuvering with pure physical strength, for instance Foreman couldn't do anything to Ali in the clinches even tho he was most likely physically stronger. I think this also applies to Johnson, who like Ali although very strong, knew how to work a man in the clinches to his benefit. Matched prime for prime I doubt Johnson would've had much success manhandling Jeffries.

The image above might've been the moment Johnson said that to Corbett, as the descripition for the image said he was looking and smiling at Corbett ringside.

Edit: From all accounts nobody could outmuscle Galento he was pushing Max Baer all around the ring. Forgot who but a sparring partner said that Jersey Joe Walcott was the strongest boxer he'd ever encountered bar Liston so those two, particularly Liston, would have to be considered. Being used as a mule while still a boy would make one fairly strong I'd imagine.

George Foreman is the most powerful man to have ever stepped in a boxing ring.

Foreman must be the strongest overall, but as for p4p, that would be interesting to surmise.I would have to list guys like Fullmer, Tiger, Monzon, Galindez, Hamsho, Chavez, etc.,
