That would explain why his next opponent is somebody Anderson beat four years ago.

Jones is tall but slender it's only he's dominance that is driving his move to HW. I reckon he'd be 230-235 at HW. I think the 'bigger is better' mentality of MMA fighters is a thing of the past. With so many fights going to decision it seems stamina is more important than raw power and weight.
Anyone know how much water he cuts for weigh ins?

When he gets on TRT he'll put on 20lbs of muscle. But before that he has no chance. Right now he gets rag dolled by ANY heavyweight.

Face of MMA shouldn't look that off any given day. And the purpose..

Cain/Jones could bring some lift back to brand.

No it wouldnt. But it would explain why even an MMA journalist cant give an answer to why Anderson has avoided any REAL challenges in his entire UFC tenure, and baulks at the thought of facing the one guy in his weight class many predict could beat him

You're a complete ****** and are embarrassing yourself with all this ****.

I ask like I always ask:

What is it about Silva that makes you think he is really a lightheavyweight?

    - Is the fact that he used to be the Shooto 168lbs champion?

    or

    - Is the fact he continues to make 185lbs with ease even at the age of 38?

Anderson is a *****... but Jones isn't, when Jones has came out in the media numerous times and said he does not want to fight Anderson.

    Yeah... that's fair... :rasta

    :nut:nut:nut WTF?!

    Jones's last five fights:

Shogun (rusty and out-of-shape) - TKO
Rampage (shot to hell) - sub
    Machida - TKO
Rashad - boring 5-round points decision
    Ryan Bader ('lol') - sub

    Anderson's last five fights:

    Sonnen - TKO
    Okami - TKO
    Belfort - outrageous KO
    Sonnen - sub
Maia - Anderson amazing for 2/3 rounds, taunts him for 2/3 rounds, points

    Jones: 2 TKO, 2 sub, 1 points
    Anderson: 3 TKO/KO, 1 sub, 1 points

The weakest fighter of the ten is Ryan Bader. The best 'wreckage' was Belfort. The most shot opponent was Rampage. The most out-of-shape fighter was Shogun. Both had extremely dominant wins (Shogun, Okami). Both had wins over extremely dangerous opponents in great shape (Machida, Belfort).

The only difference seems to be that Anderson had one tough fight where he lost a few rounds (but still won) whereas Jones hasn't had that yet. By the time he's 38, I think it's safe to say he will.

I think it's safe to say that both are currently wrecking the top challengers in their divisions, especially as Anderson brutally disposed of Sonnen second time out and ended that argument. It's stupid and unfair to say Jones is wrecking the top challengers but Anderson isn't. The facts don't lie.

How the hell can you say that Dan Henderson wasn't a challenge when he was Pride champion?!

How can you say that Rich Franklin wasn't a challenge when he was UFC champion?!

How can you say Vitor Belfort wasn't a challenge when he was coming off a 1st round KO of Franklin and has always been a top-level KO specialist fighter?

How can you say Chael Sonnen wasn't a challenge after his stylistic advantage over Anderson saw him dominate their 1st fight together?

And who is the one middleweight you are referring to at the end there?!! Anderson always fights the best guys in his weight class. He has done so for longer than anyone else in the UFC.

    Top 10 middleweight fighters:

    Anderson Silva (c)

    Vitor Belfort
    Chris Weidman
    Chael Sonnen
    Michael Bisping
    Rich Franklin
    Hector Lombard
    Alan Belcher
    Brian Stann
    Yushin Okami
    Tim Boetsch

Other contenders: Mark Munoz, Chris Leben, Wanderlei Silva, Cung Le, Rousimar Palhares, Jake Shields

Is this a "**** weak" division? Anderson's next four challengers could be Weidman (undefeated, coming off dominant win over Munoz), Bisping (long-standing contender that keeps winning), Belfort (rematch with highly dangerous great) and Lombard (if Lombard can transfer his artillery to the better opposition of the UFC).

Who are Jones's going to be that they are so much stronger than Weidman, Bisping, Belfort and Lombard?

All I can see on the horizon is Gustafsson (has lost to Phil Davis already), then who??? Glover Texeira maybe if he looks good against Rampage? Who else after that? A shot L'il Nog? A rematch with Machida or Shogun that neither man has earned as yet?

Anderson has far more good business to be done at "**** weak" middleweight than Jones does in the "so strong yet so thin" 205 division.
