This content is protected Don't know if this threads been done before but I don't think I've seen it on here. This is me and Floyd 2 hours AFTER THE GATTI FIGHT! Him and his entourage hit up the Borgata after the fight. Not a mark on his face! He is definately classier than he is portrayed in the media. Honestly a very humble guy. We met and had a brief conversation prior to the fight in the gift shop at the Borgata. I didn't have my camera but he promised to take a picture with me if we crossed paths again. We talked some boxing, and I asked him about Sugar Ray Leonard. He said "Ray's "A" game was great but not as good as his. He'd win a UD or stop him. And that his "A" game had yet to be seen and may never be seen given the quality of fighters out there." We luckily crossed paths again after the fight and he remembered me. He turned to Leonard Ellerbee and said "thats the guy I was telling you about from earlier." He told the crowd that was surrounding him to let me through and they parted like the red sea. LOL! Everyone was wondering who the hell I was. My boy I was with was shocked. He said oh ****! Floyd knows you?! Memorable night! Although I am a very big fan of his, and believe he has supierior I wish Floyd had bigger b@lls. Imagine if he had the cojones of a Margarito a Cotto or a B-Hop.
Good ****. That would have been a great fight to have been at. The crowd was so pro Gatti. Thinking he had a chance of beating PBF. It must have been funny as hell how quiet they were after PBF put that demolition job on him.:yep
Nice story, the only boxer I ever met was Michael Moorer, he came to a boxing gym I was a part of in Pittsburgh. He was pretty cool, he gave us all some pointers and tried showing us how to get all our weight into our punches. It was during his second comeback in 02, it was actually before his fight against Tua. I must say, when he hit the heavybag, it sounded like a shotgun going off, everytime the left hand banged the bag. He was pretty cool, he was kinda quite for the most part.
Glad that you got to meet Floyd and were favorably impressed by him. I wonder if Margarito or Cotto would change places with Floyd ? To have his talent and money and especially his ability to take relatively little punishment for a professional boxer. Margarito's brain isn't going to thank him for his willingness to sacrifice .... one day it will catch up to him . I hope Cotto retires soon , surely he is close to being financially secure for life.
3rd Avenue Gym?? I bet you've been there..Come workout sometime if not..Friend of mine Gary Winmon trains there..hell of a teacher..

Naw, you know where Brookline Rec. center is? The guy that used to run the place claimed he helped Moorer train back in his younger days, his names Chuck something. I would love to come down there and train sometime, I been out of competitive boxing now for close to 3 years now. I still hit the Heavybag when I can, and every once in awhile spar with friends that are in a MMA fight league. ****, my timing is probably worse than Zelenoff's.
And that what makes it so sweet to be a PBF fan. When he wins I can come here and rub it in your ****ing faces and you haters have nothing to say. Like I did after every one of his fights. With May 5 2007 Cinco De Mayweather being the best I was in rare form on that night.:deal :hi:
