A genie appears & grants you 3 wishes. As a diehard boxing fan, you naturally eschew any consideration of trivial matters like wealth & luxury, & your mind instead fixates on some of the classic matchups throughout history that have yet to emerge on film. But you can only choose 1 fight per wish, so choose wisely!

Ezzard Charles vs Archie Moore 3 Just so I can prove Ezzard was the greatest light-heavy of all time and Moore in the top 5.

Harry Greb vs Gene Tunney 1 To see how good Greb really was.

Willie Pep-Sandy Saddler II There is no footage of Pep at his supreme best. He was past it when Saddler beat him but in this fight he gave his last great performance.

There are a few bits of pre-plane crash footage:

For me, it would probably be 1. Greb Walker, 2. Charles Moore, & 3. Langford-Walcott, the last one just edging out SRR-Gavilan.

I wouldn't waste a vote on a fighter that we have surviving film of.

He is buried not too far from where I live. I visit a couple of times a year. Jack Johnson made a pilgrimage after whipping Tommy Burns for the title in 1908.

I have to admit, I'm a bit surprised at the way Greb-Tunney is running away w/ this poll. I would've expected Greb-Walker to be the most sought-after fight ever.

I was kinda surprised, too- Maybe Walker just isn't as well remembered as Tunney is. I do think that both fights hold the same sort of legendary value, though. I think any footage of Greb would be magnificent to have.

    Walcott vs Langford
    Jackson vs Corbett
    Greb vs Tunney

I really, really want more from the “Dinosaur” era to emerge.
Coolest period in boxing, I’d die happy if I could only watch Corbett’s full career in HD, Gimme “Demon” Walcott, John L, “Bonecrusher” Langford - I want “Battling” Nelson and more Master Gans and even more Fitzy.
