ok no worries if I am wrong . give me an example . I am here to be educated.

I need fight and round please.

I have mentioned Hatton and Chavez, name the others. Again not here to argue , I just havent seen him throw the uppercut a lot.

Mayweather fought one of Cotto friends earlier in his career. I think the guy name was Brussels, he was trained from the same cloth as Cotto. Floyd whipped him the same as he whipped everyone else. I see May vs Cotto playing out the same way, with Cotto being a bit more tough and obviously bigger then his conrad.

I actually think it might resemble may vs mosley a bit but not quite as dramatic. Cotto will do ok the first two rounds then may will start to walk him down and completely control the rest of the fight.

De La Hoya-Mayweather I think is a good reference point. Strong jabbing converted southpaw with a size advantage trying to apply pressure, with Floyd trying to pick off shots going straight backwards, with a lot of work being done against the ropes. Depending on how the fight goes, Cotto could land more and apply better pressure for a longer stretch of time, or Floyd might move/defend better and land the better counters earlier on.

And just an aside, Cotto is not nearly as vulnerable to the uppercut as he once was, due to his shift from a (too) high guard to a mixed guard, and a much more balanced stance.

All of you got it wrong. It will mirror Mayweather vs Burseles. If you remember Mayweather speaking on Cotto he said that the Henry Burseles fight was the fight that was suppose to lead to Cotto bc Cotto and Burseles had the same style and had been training together for years. They do have the same style but Cotto is better than Henry. Floyd will beat the brakes off Cotto.
