    Ortiz was en route to be Gatti'd. But May ruined that with the sucker punch, rounds 3-4 were very wide for Mayweather.

    Ortiz was still landing tho and caught Floyd nicely with a right hook that backed him into the ropes right before the headbutt. I wish that fight could have lasted longer to see more of what Floyd can do at this stage.

    I guess this doesnt apply to your belief that Cotto/Floyd is a mismatch right.

    Honestly the Mosley fights are a good indication in terms of common opponents. Floyd has become more aggressive as of late and Cotto does tend to step off the gas at points which could give Floyd the edge to capatalize on him. Floyd should be able to counter Cotto without too much trouble but its going to a lot closer than Pacquiao-Cotto due to Mayweather not being as agressive as Pac and Cotto being at a much more closer weight

    The dynamics are pretty different, but it's the closest thing to it IMO. Cotto's pressure will be of a different nature given his size, but the offense he brings is still similar.

    Mayweather:
    *Flicks his jab out to check one of Cotto(e)'s hands and then drops sticks the jab downstairs. Be on the lookout for a flicker + body jab + right hand upstairs

    *Use uppercuts due to the way Cotto(e) bobs and weaves. Possibly a lead upper + right hand

    *Do some of his best bodywork if any part of the fight happens up close

    Cotto(e):
    *Tries to double up on jab as a battering ram to break the distance

    *Attempted body-head-body at closer ranges

    He caught May off balance and miss almost everything he threw after he got him on the ropes. Like I said, both the 3rd-4th rounds were very wide for Mayweather. The fight would've ended 3 rounds later if continued.

    He was simply on the beggining of the end, that's why it wasn't close.

    That's the least likely scenario.

    I see this being either.....

    Mayweather/Castillo OR

    Cotto/Clottey.... except in this version, Clottey doesn't go down AND he wins....

    Thanks to Castillo, Cotto will do what every Mayweather oppoent trys to do. Pressure Mayweather. In the early rounds it will apear that Cotto is doing good. In reality he will win 2 rounds tops. By round 5, if not the fourth round. Mayweather will start walking Cotto down. As the fight progresses Cotto will fade. Against De La Hoya. Mayweather showed that he has "Respectable" power. A late round stoppage is possible, and if it goes to the cards expect Mayweather to do no worse than 118-109.

    Mayweather puts enough snap behind his sharp punches to reopen the scar tissue on Cotto(e)'s infamous paper thin face
