    You know what annoys me? A lot of casuals that DKSAB are probably going to skim your list and just assume you misspelled the name of Puerto Rican heavyweight John "Huggy Bear/The Quiet Man" Ruiz (because they've never heard of Mexican-American featherweight Juan) and will inevitably give you **** for having a laughingstock paper champ and perhaps the most notorious clincher in the sport's history on a list of War® cap eligible pates. :shakehead:

    Juan deserves to be 1000x more well-known than John. C'est la vie..

    Nonito Donaire is deffo a current potential recipient for a war cap. His effort against Frampton was noteworthy, showed that Ryan Burnett most definately needs more seasoning and then put in a stunningly brave effort against an absolute destroyer of a puncher in Inoue.

    his effort against inoue really was something. The last flickers of an elite fighter, happy to put nonito on the list to consider, I think he will get in.

    HOWEVER

    Do his achievements already speak for themselves? Ideally the MMWC would be saved for those who were truly WAR but fly under the radar

    but hey

    it’s a democracy

    Ray 'Boom Boom' Mancini took some hellatious beatings through his career, especially against Arguelo, Bramble and Haugen and would often just swing it out with some pretty ferocious bangers with a 'ahhh, fukk it, I'll be fine' kind of attitude.

    I was only a kid while he was fighting and was in awe of his bravery against some truly top class opposition.
