Guess I've been lucky with some of the shows I've been at George. Could have put Kelly, Brown and Sanigar in there too.
I'm obviously a modern day guy (well, I'm not I'm always nose deep in something from before I was born lol) but I've gone back and watched some of these fights. I'm jealous. I'd love to go watch some fights but me and my old man can't really afford it. I'll be at every one u can find when this quarantine subsides.
Ach Jeez, yeah. Boxing's not cheap to watch. £35.00 for a small hall show. How old are you mate ? Do you or your Dad drive ? The BBB of C are always looking for Inspectors who will work shows for nothing but their mileage. I did it for a while but I'm often on call with work. A pal of mine is still doing at least a show a week. Late nights but the best seat in the house. The course is home theory, (Easy) and one day seminar. It's tragic that some one with your passion and knowledge can't get to shows.
You need to be over 18 unfortunately but bear it in mind. The longer you stay in the gym and the more you learn the better it will serve you. One of the many things Boxing taught me is that nothing is easy. Does Matthew Hatton know you've never seen a live show ?
He could bung you a ticket for any show in the North West for sure. I swear he'd be glad to do it too. Some one of 16 to know what you do about our sport is remarkable, (As I found out yesterday with your little Bantamweight masterclass !). Have a word.
Cheers mate. I'll speak to him when I can go back. I do wanna see if I can possibly reach out to Michael Gomez, I like the Mexican Mancunian (born in Ireland) who was named after a Puerto Rican. Cracks me up, but it's a travesty he wasn't called The Hammerin' Manc.
