Ok hopefully this can be made a sticky....something for all of us to keep and eye on for years to come.

Of course it far stretch to beleive we can pick out men that will come to dominate heavyweight boxing in the next decade but it is a fun.

But i will say this to judge the future we can look at the past for some form of prior evidence.

If someone scoured the amateur scene around 1987 or 1988, we could have had a pick on Lennox Lewis a big lumbering British, Canadian kid who is at the top of the tree in amateuers.....or maybe a Vladimir Klit around 1995. Obviously there age matter, no good picking guys that are 30...or so.

The evidence is there though.......in Lewis or Vlad case...achieving alot in the amateur at there age or if someone scoured the records in boxrec for 1985 and saw an 18 year old kid with a 9-0 record tyson for example.

Anyhow if everyone call follow the process of name, age, record and why your pick. Here is my pick-

    Name - Jens Krull
    Age -19
    Record - 3 fights/ 3 wins/ 3 knockouts
Why - At 6'10 1/2 and weighing around 280 at the age of 19 has to be interesting. No video evidence or amateur carrer at the top is evident but still it my wild pick.

Dont know how to do a link- but just type his name and you get it in boxrec.

Michael Hunter seems about as promising as anyone in that age range...

Perez is a bit on the small side but he has terrific speed. How good is his power, that will be the telling factor in him becomming a serious contender

Well, Mike Perez and Michael Hunter are names that Im going to follow a little closer in the future. Tyson Fury and Tor Hamer are also rookies with potential IMO, but if I should pick ONE to follow for the next decade, its going to be the ukrainian amateur heavyweight Oleksandr Usyk.

I got a site where I try to spot the heavyweight prospects out there.

No way! Jens is very fat and has a bad defense. He is a German version of Tye Fields. In fact, young Timo Hoffman looked much better than today's Jens. I know, he has a lot of time to improve his defense and body, but I don't think he has a talent to be even top-10 HW.

I think, Deontay Wilder is the most promising young HW. He has size, power and speed. He needs to gain 20-30 pound of muscule though. He wasn't very impressive at the Olympics, but he still won a bronze medal. He started his amateur career very late, but still won Olimpic medal - he defenitely has the talent.

    No doubt

Tyson Fury. 6'8 1/2, not in great shape thus far but has a very positive attitude and will to lkearn. Fast hands, heavy handed punches, good boxing skills (former amateur champ) and apparently has a good chin too.

Too fast/seemingly skilled for a man of his size....domination will surely follow.

    Mike Perez looks good too.
