I agree. It's one of Tyson's most meaningful wins and best performances. You can learn a lot more about a fighter's strengths and weaknesses by watching their longer fights, rather than the quick KOs (that Tyson had many of). I think Tucker did a bit better than you do. I'll look again, but I think he won about 3 or 4 rounds.
I'm not sure about that. But I certainly think young Foreman would perform better head-to-head against the field.
He probably doesn't KO old George. And there would be the real danger that he goes for the KO and wears himself out. I think he'd have to be smart and outpoint old George through being busier, without getting ahead of himself. Not an easy fight at all.
Comeback Foreman doesn't get the credit he deserves. He was deceptively good and a very hard guy to beat unless you had the right style. I hate when people say he got lucky against Moorer. As if he threw the knock out punch by accident. He played it safe implemented a careful strategy . Even Moorer's own trainer said it. What more do people want.
Young Foreman would jump on Old Foreman like a dog in heat and simply wouldn't give him the time of day. I don't see young Foreman tiring, I see a mercy stoppage for Old Foreman on his feet.
Foreman was lucky (if he was lucky) he didn't run out of time against Moorer if anything. His strategy was sound but it was also a no brainer really. He had to bide his time and wait for the young buck to wilt a bit and start getting careless. There was no guarantee this would happen but it was the obvious option. Moorer was also a pretty average champion. Atlas knew he was getting sloppy and starting to get tagged a bit late as he tired hence the alarm. Old Foreman would potentially be awkward for young Foreman with his chin, pacing, size and strength. He'd have to get past the early rounds however. Young Foreman would beat anyone old Foreman would imo, absolutely. I don't think old Foreman would have beaten old Holmes.
