Since the thread is about light heavyweights to last until the 4th with Tyson I don't think a green 175 Holyfield makes it out of the first round against Tyson.

holyfield did start as a lhw in the pro's, but i don't know if any lhw could stand with tyson.

interesting to note, though, is that when holyfield and tyson got into that donneybrook at the olympic trials, it was a heavyweight tyson getting a nasty response from a lhw holyfield. tyson bully ways always rubbed holyfield severely the wrong way.

There were probably a couple of Lt heavyweights who could have beaten him...who I don't know but probably a couple of them due to Tyson's mental weakness and the relative strength of that division

Nobody end of thread, tyson was the nightmare of a lhw, fast enough to catch them and the power to kill them literally

Yeah but it is fair to say that Evander was 4 years older than mike, when they met for first time tyson was a 16 years old kid and evander was 20 ,no comparison

did you just threaten to smash Oldtimer with a jack handle and then a barstool?

didn't he start out by inviting you down to spar at his gym?

you take that as a threat?

    what are you a baby?

plus the guy is tiny for gods sakes?

yes I feel the same way, Tyson grew early while Holy was having trouble with Qwai in his earlier days.

Holy sure grew up though :bbb

maybe so, regardless, 215lb Tyson beats 175lb Holy imo.

maybe he lasts more than 4, I will give you that.

What i trying to say is that tyson was a kid and evander was 20,it is why he had his mental advantage in the amateurs

Gregorio Peralta. Went the distance with Lyle, Bonavena, and Foreman. Was only knocked out as a young man. Foreman stopped him on the second go but still took forever.
