Pick a ref for Cotto vs Margo

    I think the ref will play an important role here. I don't want to see Joe Cortez any more. I think he was very good at one time but he has lost a few steps. I don't like Tony Weeks for this fight because he tends to be a little to cautios and tends to stop fights just a bit early.

    I think Steve Smoger should get it. He doesn't intefere too much and he will let the fighters go at it and wont step in too early.

    Who do you think should ref Cotto vs Margo?

    Since the fight is in Vegas, it'll probably end up being Nady, Cortez, or Weeks.

    I agree with Smoger.

    I just don't want the fight stopped while a fighter still has plenty left in him but has just been caught with some good shots.

    Yeah, Nady isn't a good ref. If the fight was on the east coast, I'm sure Smoger would have got the call. But since it's not, like I said..those 3 are more than likely who we'll see. Oh, and Kenny Bayless too. He's not a bad ref, and I wouldn't mind seeing him get the call.

    Smoger is also my top choice. If not, then Bayless or Neumann.
