Either version of Holmes schools Povetkin. Prime Holmes it’s not close at all. Povetkin might take a couple of rounds from 1992 Holmes due to activity, but Larry ultimately wins a decision.
I think that this is one of those fights that would have to be made to actually see how it went down. Povetkin was levels above guys like Spinks and Shavers that gave Holmes a hard time. He was a true heavyweight with a mastery of every punch who liked to close in and light up his opponents. He's not going to play Holmes' jab jab jab game. That said, Povetkin also didn't really face anybody like Holmes.
