I'd give Louis a decent chance. I think Holyfield was 208 (tho i'd better wait for Charlie to indisputably confirm this via the naked eye) against Douglas and he'd certainly be in the mix.
Jack Johnson is a good mention, he had right style to deal with Tyson but it would be very hard to last first rounds for him against Mike. I don't count Liston here, he's basically the same weight as prime Mike.
Tyson would destroy Louis, Dempsey, Johnson and Marciano. It's not just the power but the ability to easily knock them off balance because they were so light. And the fact Tyson was faster and technically better than all of them. They have zero advantages The Holyfield that fought Douglas was punch perfect and would be against '91 Tyson too. So I'll take Holyfield.
Tyson was technically better than Louis? In what way would you say? I doubt his hands were faster than Joe's too but i'd concede he was much more aggressive with his footwork and closed the distance better IMO. He was hard to hide from and you had to fight him off at regular intervals and/or clinch a lot. He was all over people early.
No way. Louis weighed around 200-205 lbs at his best, Johnson weighed 208 lbs in his peak performance. It's less than 10 lbs and I'm sure Johnson was stronger in clinches than Tyson. Tyson wasn't technically better than Louis and he's not faster either.
Prime Louis is 200lbs and giving up 20lbs. The nearest thing to Tyson was a far less skilled Godoy who took him to an SD. Past prime he struggled with Marciano's swarming. The style is terrible for him Johnson fought with low hands. Do you seriously think you can evade Tyson onslaught with low hands and no lateral movement? Backing up in straight lines against Tyson while leaning back? Good idea
So you pick the heaviest Tyson ever fought in his prime to compare them? Tyson usually fought around 215 lbs at his best, Louis was usually around 205 lbs against bigger opponents. Not to mention that Louis is much taller and longer. Godoy was an inside mauler, he's not close stylistically to Tyson who never used clinch as his strategy. If you use Marciano fight, then I can use 2000s Tyson fights right? The closest Mike faced to Louis is Holyfield who dominated him twice. I'm not sure if he would, but he would have decent chances. Remember how easy Tyson was to tie up inside and Johnson was the master of that game.
Stop being delusional. Tyson obliterates them all. Plus many are bigger than he is, didn't you read the survey question
