Sad as it is, I'd probably say Haye. That's more a condemnation of the other contenders than anything else. I know this is highly unlikely though and HBO probably wouldn't be interested. Can't say I blame them.

It'll be interesting to see how Povetkin looks - but I don't see him giving Wlad any problems, which makes it hard to get excited about.

Arreola would be ok. Now that he's in decent shape, maybe he could make it interesting.

The Chisora-Fury winner doesn't belong anywhere near Wlad, the step-up would be far too steep. Wlad toys with Chisora and anally rapes Fury.

Helenius, Boystov etc just aren't ready. I'm not sure they'll ever be but we shouldn't find out for a year or two.

Dimitrenko and Valuev, despite their size, are ... let's be honest, shite.

Wlad vs Valuev would be a sight to see :admin I would think it would be the heaviest heavyweight fight of all time. Combined weight would be like 550lbs :patsch I still vote Arreola with the fight held at Staples Center in Los Angeles so I can see it live :D

Nipples has tapered off on his weight loss. He looks locked at 235. He should be down to 220 for his size, and he hasn't beaten a reputable fighter in his comeback.

But it's easy to see why you pick him. I'm in Kentucky now, and unless Ali makes a comeback I don't think I'll be seeing any decent fights live anytime soon.
Coulda seen Holy vs Williams in the winter, but they wanted 500 for a ticket:huh

Anyone on this list will hurt his legacy. He should retire now.

But Fury has no chance of beating a live opponent, so I only put Chisora on the list.

Wouldnt make much difference how big Dimitrenko is, he's not in Wlads league. Providing Chisora beats Fury (which i dont think he will) he should get the call seeing as they were originally scheduled to fight beforehand.

I'd like to see Boytsov have an immediate fight with one of the "top 5, but has no chance against Wlad" contenders, such as Povetkin, Arreola, or even Princess Haye.

If he wins, which would be a stong possibility, then immediately sign to be Wlad's next opponent. (Before Wlad gets too old for such a fight to be meaningful.)

I seriously think he'd be Wlad's most dangerous opponent, esp with the experience one more good fight in the bag. Check out his KO of Carlos Garcia. OK, of course Garcia is no Wlad (not even close) but it shows that Boytsov knows how to fight a big man with a long reach: He landed multiple L-R combinations from an outside position, while still maintaining a god defensive posture. And he has serious KO power in both hands.

I'd give Boytsov a 25% chance of KO'ing Wlad RIGHT NOW, let alone after one more good win against a quality opponent. I can't say that for any other HW contender.

These bums are no Michael Grant or Francois Botha, that's 4 surez.

True warriors, they were. Constantly beat grade A compettion and tore their heart out in title fights against the GOAT, surely they would rule the divison today as a two headed chocolate/vanilla monster.

I don't know how Boystov is even ranked TBH. Bydenko being his best win, and that was over two years ago.

People calling on Wlad to dispatch of him is sensless. IMO Boystov should fight a top 25 first, then a top 15 then a top 5 before he get a title shot.

I'd rather see Boswell, Welliver, or even Stivern than Boystov.

Chauncy Welliver.....Top 10 for over a year, 3 HW Titles on 3 different continents, 331 HW rounds without ever going down. 49 HW wins, and a huge following in China.

Welliver also brings a unique piece of history making with him. His trainer Joe Hipp was the 1st Native American to fight for the HW title against Bruce Seldon. Chauncy could be the 2nd and Joe could be the 1st Native American to fight and train a fighter to fight for the HW title. If Welliver could manage the upset, it would be the biggest sporting achievement of all times by a Native American. It would make Buster vs Tyson seem like small potatoes.

It would also be a tremendous opportunity for Wladimir to put his best foot forward into a new market. 1.4 Billion Chinese and I am sure over a quarter of a billion would watch this fight live just in China. Also, they could easily gate 100,000+ at 1 of their premiere stadiums for this.

Really, nobody on the planet comes close to offering Wlad anything close to what a Welliver fight offers. Everybody else is table scraps. Welliver brings the Chinese All You Can Eat. Buffet with him.

Winner of Chagaev vs Povetkin at the moment. And of course Adamek if he wins Vitali
