you are an up and coming fighter, you have all the buzz and there is a huge overall excitement about you. With that said three and only three promotional companies have offered you a contract. who do you choose and why?

A promoter who has no clue wtf he is doing.

A promoter who will rob you blind, and abuse the crap out of you.

    or

A promoter who has decent connections, knows the business, and a good business rep.

    Not hard.

Easy pick. I think 50 will also rob fighters and make horrible decisions for them. Most people are like Blah blah blah, vitamin water, blah blah. But the guy doesn't know boxing.

First and foremost, their fighters actually get promoted.

They may use cheap gimmicky things to promote fighters, like calling Broner the next Floyd, Ortiz the next De La Hoya, or Matthysse the next Manny Pacquiao, but I'm sure the fighters appreciate the attention and the extra cash that came with it.

It has hurt them on many occasions, but they do it for the fighters you can tell. They promote decent, but flashy talents, feeding off of underwhelming journeyman opponents to make them look good. And if they prove to be busts, e.g. Victor Ortiz, a little earlier than they hoped, they simply promote the guy that beat him, e.g. Marcos Maidana.

Meanwhile, compare all those fighters to someone like Jessie Vargas... An underwhelming but consistent talent that Top Rank hardly promotes. Sure he's not gonna be a world beater, but turning him into a name will be a GREAT way to promote a fighter with legit world-beater status when you feed him to him...

And Vargas would have no room to complain, cause the pay checks would be better fighting bigger names, so even if he's being used just to make those names look good, he's at least getting compensated for it.

Ive always liked Lou. Seems like a cool guy in interviews and isnt afraid to let rip when he sees bull****.

His fighters seem to do well too.

50 cent has taken 2 of the most gifted fighters out there(Gamboa and Dirrell) and done NOTHING for them
