If you were Lenny Zappas manager who would you pick for his next 3 fights (assuming he wins)?

You think he is ready for either of Diaz or Chavez o4eta? Risky venture IMO and they wouldnt be cheap to arrange. Even in 6-8 months time Im not so sure about it.

Ganoy I agree with in the next 6 months...Give Zappa a fight or two in the States in the and a little more exposure on Aussie T.V, like Superboxer or a PPV undercard in the interim

Id also love to see him fight Gostellow if Lance can keep winning and get a ranking himself. That fight would really mean something then...I miss those sort of Aussie fights.

Lenny is rated and fights at lightweight. Gostelow is a jnr welter. don't think that fight would be happening mate.

Amonsot is a southpaw. I guarantee Lenny wont be fighting one for as long as he can avoid it :)

I still cant see him beating Ganoy, Ranee is also more experienced and skilled with age and I just tend to think that as soon as Zappa started opening up with some big combinations he would walk into a big right which would stun him then set up his KO, kind of similar to how Bomber Peden got beaten

I think Lenny needs to beat a guy like Ganoy if he is to progress to the next level..though he probably isnt even at Ranee's yet ...it will ask a lot of questions of Lenny and its a 50-50 kind of fight IMO.

One can hope..Lenny was a lightweight, then he wasnt, then he says he is again.

3 of his last 4 fights have been at 140..2 of them his most important fights to date and over the title distance.

He may still be at that age where his body is making those last changes before its really truly finished filling out.

Its still a fight Id love to see...Even it was say at catchweight. Both could take a lot out that bout.

I'd like to see that one too. Lenny is staying at 135 now mate. He's got a top 15 rating there, so he'l be looking to get an elimination bout at some point in the future.

I've heard he really struggled at lightweight, that's why he went to 140. But he's gone back down again. Ray Kelly knows more about that part of it, he's worked with him on diets and so forth.
