I should keep better count of these posts. I get accused of being Shannon Briggs about 5 times per day.
Briggs KO2 :hat VITLAY is 39 years old And ready to be KTFO. Briggs is 38 years old And we know 38 year olds are VITLAY'S weakness as this what happened in 2 fights when he were at his BEST/PEAK........ Lennox was fat , semi-retired, nearly-shot, 38 years old And trained on Jamaican Jerk Chicken with Reggae Reggae sauce for teh VITLAY fight. He was laid back for teh 1st 2 roundz - then he beat teh **** out of VITLAY - tore him a new Frankenstein face And was close to a KO at teh end of Round 6. VITLAY was v.hurt And hugging on for desperately for his life at teh end of round 6. Funny how the commentors say Lewis was tired - it was VITLAY that was tired-as-****, yeah that right, even teh oldest Lennox who was fat had more stamina than VITLAY. :deal + Fat 38 year old part-time Boxer, a Golfer tomato can bum who trained on cheap import beer And chocolate donuts - average-power, Corrie Sanders - hurt/rocked VITLAY a lot in round 1 AND 2. Near teh end of round 1 Sanders puts VITLAY on *****-Street for 15 seconds And VITLAY was dropped as he try to hug like a scared And Battered ***** pissing herself in fear of More beating. Before Klit-Lickers mention teh rest of teh fight - i already said he a 38 year old BUM who didnnt train at all or fight active - so he gassed after round 2. :deal
I personally don't think Briggs has the mental fortitude to go in there and simply let his hands go. If he did, he could probably cause Vitali some problems. Both are slower than hell, but Vitali gonna win anything that goes to the cards, and he'll likely win anyway but KO in the mid rounds. Briggs best bet would be going for broke and trying to win in the first 3-4 rounds. I don't mean he should punch himself out, but getting into the double digits of punch out put would be a nice start.
This. Can't believe when people say Briggs has a shot to kayo Vitali early. Look at his record: What decent fighter has he taken out in such a fashion? If a guy is even mediocre he starts taking Briggs rounds. Make the fighter halfway decent, Briggs starts to take losses. He has nothing for a decent heavyweight. Nothing. Liakhovitch losing was embarassing. Briggs falls to Vitali the same way he fell to a slue of good but not near great fighters before him.
Vitali, but who cares? it's heavyweight boxing. And shannon briggs. I expect him to get jabbed in the face for a few rounds and then gas out and lose.
If Briggs could somehow bring sustained pressure like he did against Lewis, does anyone think he creates problems for Vitali? If he stays outside and gets into a boxing contest hes dead meat. I think he knows this too.
I concur with this, but unfortunately the Lewis fight was over a decade ago & now Briggs is old & rusty. However, he does appear to have trained hard, so I wish him the best of luck at ending Vitali's "Reign of Boredom".
Sustained pressure fighting takes good stamina which is something briggs has never had, and you can bet due to age and inactivity he'll be even worse off.
We'll see Klitschko is so used to fighting smaller guys he may get caught especially if he gets lazy and keeps his hands low which he is guilty of often.
Yeah I know, its unlikely, but hes got to try it. Hes got a better chance trying that, than to try and box for 12 rounds. He needs to go balls out and see if vitali shows his age.
