As I've said before, all that worries me is that Vitali has a 100% loss record against boxers with dreadlocks. He also, as even some of his biggest fans admit, has a glass eye when dreadlocks are involved.
Also, his HGH-enlarged noggin with the bright beacons on top makes him a ridiculous easy target for head shots. This content is protected
I don't think Briggs stops Haye but it could happen. I think that's more likely then him beating Vitali. Well yeah Briggs is not worthy of a title fight everyone knows that. It can be marketed well enough which it has and it has some interest due to the puncher theme that's presented. Who cares what you really think he could do if he hasn't proved it. That's not really relevant is it? As much as you hate Haye you have to admit that he's more of a threat to Vitali than Briggs is.
It wouldn't surprise me if Briggs has just come to this fight to lay down and take the cheque. He should at least try to land a punch for a round or two, but who knows.
Briggs had moxie and pride. He talked a lot but withstand a beating I don't not envision. I figured he would've went down but he really took a stand. Crazy, but he showed toughness. He never earned the fight but earned the payday.
Didn't expect it to go the distance, but the Vitali of pre-injury layoff does seem gone for good. Still, a different ref may well have stopped it before the end because Briggs had nothing. It looked like he went for the absolute worse plan of all - don't attack early, bide your time and try to come on late, which was just such a bad idea against Vitali. Briggs was trying to slip and evade punches rather than try to block with his left, and that just meant he caught almost every right Vitali threw. By the time it hit the later rounds he was already worn down and low of gas without even having throw the punches to burn it. I'd hoped for the first 2-3 rounds to be fun at least, but it was merely another re-run.
Joke fight. If Vitali keeps hitting that dreadlocked punching bag in front of him he might be in danger of developing punching power. :rofl
I kind of want to revel, having used these exact words before the fight, but the fact that this idiot is calling himself HW champion whilst making these joke defences makes any kind of celebration impossible. Yeah, anyone with any sense knows he isn't world champion, but the world is full of casual fans. This guy is embarrassing boxing with these defences.
