Pics from my terrible camera from tonights fights (along with a lil breakdown)...

Seeing as this was the first REAL BIG FIGHT(s) I had ever been to (been to some local ones...never a legit BIG ONE), I figured Id do a quick rundown of the fights tonight...along with a few pics (from, as the title of the thread says...my TERRIBLE camera...**** is 7mp...ya'd think that would be good, but the zoom is SHITE!!!). Anyway, onto the rundown!!!

So the cutest little cook makes me some lunch before I start to head out...

After fillin' up on some food/fuel, I head out and pick up my ticket (printed offline)...

So we head out on the journey of a lifetime (across two states...a good two hours of my life I will never get back...I hate driving)...and FIIIINALLY get there.

Problem is, we miss the exit...so we gotta turn back and go again...

FINALLY HERE!!!

So I get inside and the first thing that hits me....gawd this place smells AWFUL!!! Its like a mix of oxygen and bad air...like someone's chain smoking grandmother from a few rooms away. Not a fan of the smell...not at all.

So after my nose finally attuned to the phenominal odor of cigarettes, oxygen, old people and shattered dreams...we head to grab a bite to eat. I get MAAAAAAAYBE the most expensive cheeseburger ever made. I had a picture of it...but the but because of the sheer disappointment of the taste (its was terrible), I deleted that **** from my camera...my memory and hopefully soon, my tastebuds.

Now at this time, its about 630pm...we know the doors open now, but on the tickets, on the signs, ON ****ING EVERYTHING it says the fights start at 730pm. So what does that mean???? GAMBLING TIME!!!!

Ok, so I googled that pic...but that was the gyst of my incredible gambling prowess!!!

So its now about 745pm...we met up with everyone else (including my friends ENTIRE IMMEDIATE FAMILY...who all came to watch their native son Martinez fight...and who I had NO IDEA any of them were even going that night??? What are the odds...).

Well, we head into the arena...get in our seats, figuring we may have missed the start of one...or maybe one undercard bout (I was hoping it would not be the Tupou fight...really looked forward to seeing him) and I notice the Martinez fight is already in the 3rd round?????

WAAAAAAIIIIITTTTTTT WWWWWWHHHHHAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTT??!?!?!?

I ask the guy in front of me and he tells me its the FIFTH FRIGGIN FIGHT!!!!!!!!!

Well not long after that...the fight is over. And again, Im pissed...missed 4 damn fights because Mohegan cant start on time (or print the right time on the damn tickets/marquee/website/signs all over the ****ing casino!!!) Can ya tell Im a bit pissed???

Well, after that, they start the female fight between Melissa Fiorentino and Melissa Hernandez. No idea who either of them are, so I put my (shitty) camera away. BIIIIIIIIIIIIG mistake!!!!! Great fight while it lasts with Hernandez winning by TKO stoppage due to cuts. Hurancan Hernandez is now my favorite fighter of all time!!! Move over Sweet Pea, this girl can FIGHT!!!

Seriously, it was the most entertaining female boxing match I have witnessed (in person or on tv). Should have been ruled an accidental headbut causing the cut...but whos complaining.

Well, after Huracan leaves the ring to a STANDING OVATION from the entire crowd (why did I put my shitty camera away again???)...they cut to intermission while getting ready for Quintana - Williams.

So I get back to my seat just as Jimmy Lennon Jr is hopping in the ring...and I gotta say...HE IS the ****ing man....great announcer live. Just FILLS the crowd with energy!!!

By the time its time to start again, the place is seriously packed...big surprise honestly, as I didnt expect a sellout (but I couldnt find an empty seat by the time Williams started his ring walk).

Williams comes in to "The Big Payback" by James Brown. PHENOMINAL CHOICE considering the circumstances!!!

The place was booing like CRAZY...big PR crowd on hand to cheer on Quintana. But you could feel it was starting to get ELECTRIC!!!

Then Quintana started what will be forever known as his walk down his own personal "Green Mile"!

So this was the fight I wanted to see. I LOVE Paul Williams...but was unbelievably impressed with Quintana the last time out. His use of movement and counterpunching in the last fight was amazing. I honestly didnt have a clue how this fight would turn out (tho I did pick Williams by late TKO on here a few days back...but honestly that was half on heart and not on head...ya know?). I decided to try and limit the pics I would take...catch some action here and there, but really just enjoy watching the fight live.

Im confused....? But apparently so are the promoters. After a few mins...they trot some female fighter out that is fighting in a few weeks...who I guess was just there to watch the fights. She walks around the ring to a few cheers (and when I say a few, I mean like 5) BUT HEY, WHEN YA GOT TIME TO KILL????

Honestly, as I said, there was a HUGE PR crowd there...and they were just STUNNED!!! AND I MEAN STUNNED!!! Real quiet in there.

So after a few more mins of time killing...out comes the snake!!!

You could cut the tension with a.....well, no...there was really no tension. I mean, who really picked Mora?? Seriously???

This goes on for the first 5 or 6 rounds. The crowd is booing unmercifully...but most cant tell, cause they are asleep. And then, just as the fight starts heating up...a funny thing happens. I FIGURE OUT HOW TO USE MY CAMERA A LITTLE BETTER FROM A DISTANCE!!!

The fight goes on...very ho hum with a few exciting parts in between. Mora takes a close one (I had it 7-5 for the snake as did EVERY SINGLE PERSON IN MY SECTION).

As the crowd gets a little silenced...I let out a scream!!!

"VERNON YOU OWE ME SIXTY BUCKS!!!!"

I didnt really mean it...had a great night (you have no idea how exciting an early DESTRUCTIVE TKO like the one Williams had tonight is live unless your there)...but gawd Forrest looked awful.

Funny thing was...there was one person who I went with who picked Mora....and only because he saw this guy in Vernon's corner.

Well anyway...we decide to make a B-LINE for the garage, considering we had another 40 days and 40 nights of driving ahead of us....but I did happen to snap one more pic on the way out.

Seriously tho...great night. Saw 2 big fights...3 exciting, 1 close (and boring).

OH YEAH...and Vernon Forrest owes me 60 bucks. ****ING MCGIRT!!!

You could hear a pin drop! It was kinda surreal when you consider how badly that place was ROCKING after Hernandez (another PR fighter) won her fight.
