Well call me crazy but I think Victor has a shot.. He's a south paw, he has power and he has great stamina! You also have to remember that floyd has been on vacation for over a year and Victor looked good when he fought berto... That was his first fight @ 147! I give victor a shot in the first 3 or 4 rounds to get floyd in trouble! I could also see floyd winning a UD because once he times his opponent then its usually over! Well see... PS: Victor has alot of power... He hurt Andre berto in the first round. I dont think andre ever recovered after the first round! (Thats why he looked out of it the whole fight)
My prediction record has been fairly accurate. And I do think Ortiz will give Floyd more trouble than any recent opponent. I just think he's more wrong for Floyd than Marquez and Mosley. I don't see how anyone in their right mind can compare Ortiz-Mayweather to Adamek-Vitali. Adamek had nill chances, everyone with some sense said so before the fight. He held no advantages whatsoever coming into the fight. Ortiz has a lot of flaws, but it's his mindset and increased WW output that seems to have people enthused about his chances to make it competitive despite his technical flaws and weaknesses (Telegraphing shots, falling off balance, being too centered, weak jab, etc). I haven't seen one real boxing poster even pick Ortiz though on this site. Crazy that people don't think Floyd will win every round. I just don't see how that's crazy. Maybe I'm wrong. It's possible, I am human.
It's a language issue more so than a public speaking issue. He did fine. He's got dignity and respect. Nobody should feel bad for him, they should feel bad about Mayweather rudely interrupting him.
This content is protected ODLH - Nice of all your fans to turn up Floyd! Remind me next time to hire out the mensroom.
Baldo also weighed about 15-20 pounds more than Floyd on fight night too...Ortiz doesn't have the chin Baldo did...More skilled? Of course...Ortiz has mental lapses in the middle of fights--down in the 6th/quit to Maidana, struggled with Peterson in the mid-rounds, and got dropped by Berto in the 6th as well.. Ortiz's only chance is to blitz Floyd right from the start, just like he did Berto in the 1st round of their encounter...Imo, Ortiz has about 2-3 rounds to KO Floyd, after that Floyd adapts, and hits him with straight right hands, and counter left hooks the rest of the way...
This fight is a mismatch. Ortiz is made out to be Floyd hardest punching opponent when really hes not. He couldnt even get rid of a shot Nate Campbell who was in front of him just covering up all night. Ortiz can punch, but his KO percentage of 66% isnt anything new. Floyds last 4 Opponents had the same or higher against better opp. Ortiz cant outbox Floyd, he wont likely KO him unless he really has a terrible night which wont happen, so Floyds likely gonna dominate and probably stop him. Anyone giving Ortiz a legitimate chance is letting their hopes get in the way of logic.
