In that pic I think Vitali is pointing to where he's going to hit Kevin during the fight.

It seems that people either don't want to give Vitali credit or don't believe that he was winning in the score cards. All I know is that Lennon Lewis retired right after that fight instead of a rematch. To me that speaks for itself.

True. They don't know that Vitali has never ran out of gas in any fight. Vitali gets better the longer the fight goes.

Max Kellerman was sitting right behind Lewis' corner, he knew that Lewis was finished. Max was a very well known Klitschko hater back then, but after that fight Max became a fan of Vitali's. I had it out with Max live on the air years ago, back when Max was on ESPN2. Max is a nice person, really. Max was honest about Marquez fight also and the damned criminal judge Pierre Benoist.

In damn near every fight i'v seen with Vitali he'll have his mouth open and be breathing through his mouth by round 3 (arreola) and they'll always comment on this and question his gas. And in every fight he'll continue fighting at the same pace and never tire.

People repeating what commentators said and using it in an argument as if it was fact is very very common even when it's clearly contrary to what reality is.

"Lampley said Vitali was breathing out his mouth and getting tired, had the fight continued Lewis would have killed him" well he said it, that must be the case.

Fritz Sdunek, Vitali´s Trainer explained it some time ago. Vitali opens his mouth early since his childhood. It´s just an odd kind of breathing and has not much to do with gassing. The only time I´ve really seen him gas was in the Lewis fight. Both guys were badly gassed the time the fight was stopped.

If you can't be bothered to even get his name right I don't think you've much authority speaking on his behalf.

About Johnson, well, I've never minced my words about him. He's a joke contender and he's making himself look even sillier with this 'only Ali or Holmes could outbox me' nonsense. A 40+ Bruce Seldon was able to outbox him until his old gas tank ran down and Johnson thumbed him. His qualifications for being worthy of a title shot have been to dispose of enough warm bodies without mishap without ever facing a genuine gatekeeper let alone contender.

Zero blame for Vitali, it's a free defence and a ranked contender.
But the only excitement at all in this fight is going to be whether Johnson is counted out face down or face up.

He's fought no-one, he's shown nothing, he has no great power or great technical skills.

I'm completely prepared to hold my hands up here and be ready for a hefty helping of humble pie if I'm wrong, but something tells me the only eating going on is going to be between Johnson's mouth and Vitali's fists.

Now don't get me started or I'll tell you how little I really think of Johnson.

Ok my bad I mispelled Lennox not a big deal just like you mispelled defense. But I agree Johnson hasn't done much in the hw division and doesn't have enough experience or skill to beat Vitali. So the question is....in what round do you think Vitali knocks out Johnson???

Calm down, just noticed he has a small black eye... A minor reference.

No I didn't see it before they Arreolo fight. Weird how he gets injured more in sparring than in actual fights though?

Agreed. Breathing out of your mouth does not mean you are necessarily tired. I have small nasal passages, so anytime I'm doing more than a walk, I gotta breath out of my mouth...but I'm not tired.
