    I thought he looked fat against Coture. He was 20 pounds heavier against Coture then he was for bates. And now he comes in 20 pounds heavier in his boxing match than he was for Coture. What next 277 for his next fight?

    I don't see anyone here sayin' THEY could whup Toney :patsch Fans who shell out the money to see boxing got a right to complain. You should expect to see a performance by a pro athlete not a circus act which is what Toney has sadly become. He had a great Hall Of Fame career time to retire.

    Firstly i dont own an Us visa so even if i wanted to, its impossible for me to go up there and kick his ass in sparring :hey(sarcasm..)

    Secondly I dont give a **** about men appearance. But still at the time of boredom i can comment on whatever i want, even things i dont really care about.

    Thirdly, Grow the **** up and dont be so sensitive. If he was sick, retarted, injured, or something else had an influence on his look about which he couldnt do anything about i would never say a word about it. But he's a boxer and an ugly fat ass at the same time cuz he CHOSE to be one.

    There are to ways; Retire and enjoy your life, or get in the ****en shape like you should as a professional athlete.

    I hope you werent serious writing this part. Cuz its just hilarious, and the reasons he wont get anywhere near this "chumps" are so obvious, that i dont even have to write em, they can literally be pictured, vua la;

    He's A hof Boxer with a great career behind him, i have never once questioned this. But this is 2011 and things look like they look. His fights look like they look, and he looks like he looks. Definitely not like a guy ready for a fight of a big magnitude, sadly most likely he wont be ready in this life anymore.

    hes supposed to be a professional athlete.he cant win on skill alone at any high level.

    and at such an age and weight class that isnt his nautural one,hes got no chance.

    if he wanted to win titles,he needed to lose weight,act pro.,get serious,fight some top names/ranked fighters in the division and win impressively.

    hes really deluded these days,like he needs someone to KO him a few times before he admits to himself and quits.

    Damn thats sad.. Cause when he was fighting around the times of Jirov and Holy he could have been a real threat.. If he would have only kept it up for a couple years he could have got his shot then rode off in the sunset. But right now there aint no hope..

    Toney has faded to the point where he isn't a factor in the heavyweight division anymore even if he came to fight in shape. This current, overweight, version not only further hurts his limited chances but is also sad and embarrasing. He can still get by on his skill and experience to beat guys like Reed but thats close to Toney's limit. He still carries name value so I can see him landing a major payday or two if he wants but James Toney is not only done as a relevant fighter but is getting sadder to watch.
