Liston was disease ridden and punch drunk? News to me......

 

Marciano was a great fighter (imo markedly greater overall than Liston, mostly when it came to championship heart). But even during both of their primes Liston would have knocked him down at least a couple of times (Sonny was without question a significantly harder hitter than Jersey Joe), and his jab would have aggravated the hell out of Rocky. I just don't see Marciano making it past the tenth round...and yeah I know RM retired unbeaten, but none of the former champs he faced were a prime Sonny Liston.

And the best of them were older.Moore 39/40 Walcott 38,Louis 36,,Charles 32 &33.

The facts are Liston's chin was cracked by a sub 200lber, Marciano had the power to put Liston to sleep at any point in his career.
