In his 11th fight he fights 4-2 no hoper with no amatuer fights and one hell of a physique

I know Wilder is Green despite having an olympic medal but he was fighting the best in the amatuers

why does he have to go backwards to go forwards

he should by now fight washed up bums

fight somebody from the olympics who is pro

he needs guys with 20 or more fights

maybe like a 20 and 10 guy or something not a threat but somebody more polished then 4-2

I'm not asking him to win a belt in 15 fights but he has gotta fight somebody

I agree, they should put him against guys with records like 20-50 who might actually last a while.

exactly no monsters but more fights he needs to develope stamina to go 10 12 rounds and these bums will let him develope bad habits

I am pretty sure this opponent was on short notice. Wilder and hadn't fought in a while and looked rusty in this one.

I think he needs guys that will take him into the middle rounds he needs to develope stamina and we have no idea if he has defense two keys that he needs if he wants to be anything special in this division

Also he hasn't fought in a while. He took a longer break than he usually does. He usually fights atleast every month.

He is a raw prospect with limited talent and needs to progress at his own pace. this race is a marathon not a sprint and by trying to go fast in the begining could spell disaster.

That all being said, he is just further evidence of the decline of the heavyweight division . . . my it is the shites!

The HWT division has a series of young European contenders moving in Britain has prospects Cuba has prospects I feel wilder will sit on the sidelines while foreign fighters dominate

It's the dudes 11th fight. Go back and look at a lot of top fighters early fights and you'll find the same thing . You don't know much about boxing either it seems .

You realize that other up and coming heavy weights around wilders level will never sign a fight with him at this point in their careers. Way too much risk , no reward. He is still too green for the higher level opposistion . He needs to mature as a fighter and gain confidence and reputation by KOing and beating a string of fghters.

He fights often , and many quality opposistion fighters are not easy to find on short notice....
I hope you are starting to grasp this process .

Well Cuba has Luis Ortiz, Mike Perez(10-0), Glendy Hernandez, all of them have the potential to beat right now the likes as Bakhtov, Ibrahimov, Dimitrenko, Chagaev and Co.
