Well i'm sure if Coté have the same career then Bute had till now it will beat his higher expectation! win a word title and defend it 7 times it's still pretty good no mather what people say!

I've watched him twice, once on the Bute-Froch undercard which I went to, wasn't very impressive in that fight. Then the one vs Teron where he got a spectacular win but he was very reckless.

I know 2 fights isn't enough to completely judge someone but he looks very powerful and fast, he can probably step it up another few levels but I can't see him troubling any of the better fighters at 140.

First of all Bute is legit. Just because he lost to Froch this doesn't mean anything. Even more, styles make fights.

And Bute defended his title 9 times, not 7.

Maybe I should have chosen a different word, but I don't think Bute would have beaten anyone in the Super Six. He is obviously a good fighter, but is not world class imo.

He's a decent little prospect. He's very exciting, but no defense and that's always risky. Plus, his offensive repertoire is very limited. He has no jab, no left hook, basically, no left hand. He's all right hand, deadly power in that right hand, but power in only one hand can only take you so far.

Cote is the mother ****in' truth. Anyone who doesn't like his uncontrolled agression is an idiot..

Bute beat one of the semi finalist of the super-six... If Ward thought Bute was an easy fight, he would have taken the fight, instead, he found excuses.

    Bute beat Johnson? :?

Also he'd beat the **** out of Allan Green and Jermain Taylor.

The top fighters at 140 all probably stop him right now.

He needs to sharpen up his defense to be viable at the lightest levels.

Still, he's incredible to watch; one of the most exciting fighters today.

Cote will get KO'd soon, I like watchiong him fight though. He's nowhere near Bute's level. Bute whupped (beat up and KO'd) a lot of very good SMW's. He failed when he stepped up to Froch but that doesn't take away his many wins over quality opponents in dominant fashion.
