Mosley is one bad motha:smoke . Your saying you thought Camacho was faster than Taylor.... To be honest I've only watched a handful of his fights and he was shot in a few of them.... I never bothered buying any of his fights because I assumed he was feather fisted and boring. Educate me on my mistakes.:huh
Well if we are talking about Camacho, you have to see his fights at 130. Camacho vs Limon, Solis, and numerous others. His speed was phenominal. This is pre-Rosario. His combos were ridiculous. Even at 135 prior to fighting Rosario, he was tremendous. Watch the Camacho vs Ramirez title fight. After the Rosario fight, he was safety first, but still had some good fights left in him like the Paz and Baltizar fights. Meldrick was fast at 140 and threw punches by the bunches, but Camacho at 130 was like a surgeon with his combos. Especially his uppercuts from long distances and would catch you. Something like Hamed use to do. I did have a thread on comparable speeds with Camacho and others. I thought Camacho and Jones, Jr. were the fastest and others had Taylor up there. They were kind of the top three.
Taylor was more of a volume puncher. Mosley was more powerful, he loaded up on more shots, but also threw a pawing jab.
My favorite Meldrick Taylor fight has to be Vs. James McGirt. Show's What a prime Taylor can do Vs. A top Boxer Puncher. Taylor also has a very sweet Philly "left hook" that is often not mentioned. hand speed was OMG! [Still the fastest I have ever seen] Good Styles comparisson with Mosley, I think I'd favor Taylor H2H at 140.
Oops. Never mind! I see "Taylor" and I just think "gift decision." Maybe I should have been thinking "unjust stoppage!" :nod
Shane was a harder puncher, but i'd have to give the handspeed edge to Taylor. That man was crazy fast. I also believe he had slightly better technique. Better footwork and offensive skills. Defense is even.
