I've got Schmeling on points in a close fight. Thoughts?

Probably the right pick, though Thomas is the kind of guy who could get past Schmeling on the day.

Would be a good competitive fight. Really could go either way, but I like Max.

Thomas’s jab would take away Schmeling’s counters

Pinky by stoppage. A different animal head to head.

Leaning toward Schmeling on consistency and resume. He's also got the fighting brain. However, Thomas at his best was excellent and his jab could cause Max no end of problems. Close, I think.

    Max, for mine.

I think he can slip, throw the counter-right, fall in and do damage on the inside all night long.

    Schmeling W UD15.

There is a tendency to pick every "modern" fighter over Schmeling for no reason, I don't get it to be honest.

Schmeling looks better on tape than most oldschool fighters but he's one of the least respected here.
