    I watched the Bowe fight last night and the commentator was saying heroin in his kid/teenage years and crack cocaine and booze at times during his career. A shame, it really took a toll on his physical abilities and he was “old” in his early 30s.

    The man had amazing natural talent. Solid chin, great athleticism, stamina, strength, awesome left jab and power behind his shots. Had Angelo Dundee for a while as a trainer too. All the right pieces were in place for a great career. But drugs will destroy everything

    Yes of all the 1980's Lost Heavyweights I felt he was the best overall. That powerful jab, a great chin, natural strength and focus.

    On my list of 80's fighters who became shot almost overnight...Thomas is right up there along with Curry and Honeyghan.
